Justice League Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - - - - - - - - - - Part 19

Cavill looked best in MOS, in BvS I really didn’t like his hair as Supes as his puffy suit. JL look was an improvement but MOS was still better. Really annoys me he has natural Superman hair and they dint use it.

Can't wait for ZSJL so we can rank the looks. I do agree that MOS was better, but maybe the hairstyle from BvS/JL and wearing the MOS suit? "shrugs"

It may seem crazy theory but I think that Cavill's hairstyle in Batman V Superman was one of the reasons why fans don't like his version of Superman.

Think it would’ve been better if that had just been his Knightmare hair. Knighthair if you will.

Yeah, the asthetics of how he looked in MoS was much better, imo.

Between the hair, the suit, the body shape, it was spot on. The only modifications I wanted was a lightening up a bit of the suit, especially the yellows in the S shield. But otherwise he looked great.

Give the man Bond already, if WB can't get their act together and cast him in a few more Superman films before he gets too old then why not. Daniel Craig's last film is close to release so the casting process is probably underway already to find the next Bond.

I see his suave persona from 'Man from Uncle' merged with his gruff physicality from 'Mission Impossible', and it just seems so right for the next 007. Not withstanding the fact that Henry can really carry a finely tailored suit.

As far as I’m concerned **** James Bond and that ****ty franchise.

Also people say “if WB can’t get their act together“, yet we don’t know what’s happening with Superman or any DC film after the end of 2022 and Henry has a busy schedule for the next 2 years on top of that so he’d likely be in a similar situation with Bond anyway.

And the second half of that statement is exactly why I said if WB can't get their act together!

MOS came out 7yrs ago. Still no word of a sequel or any solo film. Superman is arguably the most iconic superhero on the planet (maybe not as culturally popular as Batman right now, but still high up that list) and you have an actor many think was born to play him, and he's not getting any younger. Ensembles and cameos aren't satisfying the hunger many have for a proper Superman film.

I also think that the muscle suit in both BvS and in JL was not good, in BvS, he looked bulky and in JL he looks smaller than he was in MoS.

He definitely looks a lot leaner in JL. Also, especially in these pictures, it looks like the neckline of the suit is slightly lower, so he doesn't have the same imposing chest as he did in BvS.

They’re a business though, they’re not about satisfying the hunger. The cameos could actually lead to a new solo Superman film. It’s awful waiting but sometimes we have to be patient and look at things from a different perspective.

I don't think I've ever been bothered by Superman's hair.
I don't care if he has the spit curl or not, if it's straight or curly, I wouldn't even be bothered by the mullet.
I can obsess over all sorts of thing when it comes to these characters, but I just can't summon up any real interest in hairstyles.

The current COVID-19 situation is not helping DCEU movies either, we all know that WW84 wouldn't make same amount of money it could have made without any pandemic.

Last two movies (Shazam and Birds of Prey) while being critically successful managed to just break-even (for BoP, we would have to add money earned from the Theatrical run and money from VoD, streaming and Bluray sales)

Which means, if The Suicide Squad, The Batman, Aquaman 2, Black Adam, Shazam 2 and The Flash tank, you can say good bye to chances of getting solo Superman movie.

DC movies are not in a safe place as Marvel movies..

Unpopular opinion but, I would rather watch a sequel to Man from UNCLE.

I think what could be the death of cinema won’t mean we won’t get DC movies anymore. What will change is how we consume movies, they’ll likely take movies to streaming with smaller budgets.

Also they can’t really announce any future movies yet given the COVID situation so I wouldn’t expect to hear anything been officially announced for a long time.

Compared to him doing Bond?

What if he were bald? :funny:

I'm somewhat optimistic. :D

Vaccines will be available in few months, hopefully the situation will improve within one year, as we know they could control the Spanish flu in two years a century ago.

Till then, theaters will have to operate with reduced capacity and other means like VoD will be used by Studios to release their movies say, after a month of theatrical release (or directly to VoD, for low budget movies)

Compared to him doing Bond?
Yeah.

Depending on Covid, hearing anything Superman related or even about his own film is still on track for 2023. Right now it's cloudy but once you think about it, using Henry to fill in those gaps in Black Adam, Shazam!2 and even The Snyder Cut, 2023/24 is not really that far away. We're going to see him a few times beforehand (if all goes well).

In a really weird way, Covid has actually seemed to helped Henry's Superman situation. Givin Henry's schedule and givin how Covid halted things, this buys Henry's team and conversations with the studio time to figure things out more clearly.

This is cool.

Speaking of Tim Daly, anyone see his YouTube channel that he has with his son (who's also voiced Superman)? They are short vids and a lot of references to his role as Superman (playing up that Tim can't really separate fiction from reality) and a # of surprises guests for these skits from the superhero universe. They're about 5 years old but really funny and worth watching.

Don't be a doosh, check it out: DalyShowTV.
