Yeah, I've never paid much attention to the People Choice Awards but I took a look at that list and once I saw that Adam Sandler and Grown Ups 2 received nominations, I stopped reading. Perhaps those nominations are indicative of how the general population feels about movies but if so, I'm glad to be in the minority.

If that's what the people want, I want no part in it.

It's not the people. It's whatever teenager decides to vote.

But anyways...that Cavill. To me, he was the best part of the movie. Can't wait to see him be DP Clark.

I wish he was actually interested in journalism and wasn't only there because that's where his girlfriend works. :o

I wish they had actually shown how he got there and came up with the DP clark idea. There was an annoying time skip after Zod's death and I wanna know what happened in between.

Dude, no. Clark got the job because he slept with Perry.

Yes I am mad at your massacre of the English language.:yay:, seriously though you need to relax you sound like a mad man. You are going to get people who hate the movie like someone above said it's a very flawed movie.

Not intention to make you uncomfortable.
It has its flaws AS ANY MOVIE HAS IT none is dennying that, but none as some people here are claiming, right?
If you didn't like it, that's ok.. but claiming that the movie is the one you said which clearly is not and saying nosense and "issues" that only is a matter of perspective or how somebody saw the movie... :cwink:

Sure, the movie has flaws but all movies do. And since I've seen some people on this board berate every tiny thing about it and then go over to the Agents of SHIELD board and talk that bland crapfest of a show up like it's the greatest thing on television, it's hard to take a lot of the criticisms all that seriously.

What bothers me is that people will rush to bash the **** out of MoS but defend everything Marvel does even if the product is flawed (IM3 for example).

I prefer Iron Man 3 to Man of Steel. But I prefer Superman to Iron Man, so I'm more likely to watch Man of Steel than Iron Man 3. Weird.

"Criticisms" is putting it.

I need to see IM3. I loved it when I watched it opening weekend. Haven't seen it since though.

I think I may be the only one that doesn't get a rise out of anything that Marvel does. I like certain characters from Marvel, but I don't like Marvel if that makes sense and that carries on from the comics to the movies. I'm a DC guy through and through and I absolutley love their version of being the alternative. Marvel bores me in so many ways. Iron Man was good but IM2, CA, Thor and even Avengers is overrated in my book. I didn't see IM3 yet because I absolutley have no desire or care to. Not even sure if I'll see Winter Solider or Thor 2. Man of Steel threw me for a loop and I kept going back for more. I just like DC more and love the realism and different, deep vibe you get with this DC Universe.

You aren't the only one, Tra-EL. Marvel leaves me cold. Every time. There are little things in some of the movies I like, but overall? Nope. That's why I feel defensive when people suggest DC do things like Marvel. People who like the Marvel approach get lots of movies and DC fans get one every 2-3 years. I don't want those few DC movies to be Marvelized as too. Then I have nothing!

I agree. I don't post on every last little thing that people have to say that I disagree with, but what you said is a highlight for me. When I hear some people and/or reports of DC/WB doing things the "Marvel Way" I can't cringe enough. I think Marvel is cheesy, generic and a flat out borefest.

Dude...you get me! I feel the same. Sometimes I feel we are a dying breed, though.

And Maooz...awesome gif. Dat Superman.

My favourite Marvel movies are the ones not made by Marvel: Blade II, Spider Man, Spider Man 2, First Class, Hulk.

I would possibly love Gambit if they ever made it. But they're making Antman instead. So...

Until Marvel bows to my fannish desires, all their movies suck.

A sign of MOS weakness with audiences? We know it did not do well but MOS was completely shut out of People's Choice Awards which are voted on by the audience.

MOS and Cavill failed to land even a single nomination in any category.

I think the reviews and the okish box office (for a movie of its budget and marketing and expectation) have kinda indicated that MOS did not go down as well as hoped for by the studios.

I liked MOS, but it wasn't remotely close to being the little bundle of perfection the inside buzz was making it out to be. "The best film of the year", a supposed source said... pff. I don't know what 2013 movies that guy had watched up till then.

That being said, I saw the movie 3 times in theaters, and every time people truly seemed to enjoy it. Applause at the end, laughter, all that stuff. Kids particularly. Then again, after my 1st viewing, I also heard a guy saying to his friends "Batman 3 was ALSO really bad..." I'd say people liked it "enough". Divisive is a good word for it.
