He invented the beard and the shirtless Superman...

not really superman has had a beard in the comics and would use a combination of his heat-Vision and kryptonian shard from his spaceship to shave also Clark's been shirtless alot through the comics.

I know that. I meant the combo shirtless, long beard, hobo clark... well that's what I thought when I saw that new image.

Well I doubt he would come up with that. That would've been mostly Goyer, Snyder and Wilkinson surely.

Really??? It was just an expresion... of course Cavill didn't come up with that. He presented that. That's what I meant.

Oh really...."He invented that" and "he presented that" are two very different things....

I understood perfectly what you meant. The picture you posted looked like Cavill from after the oil derrick rescue scene was the model for the panel. I don't know why others are causing a stir about it....oh wait, yes I do know....this is the SUPERHEROHYPE......and so some people feel the need to be contrary for contrariness sake.

Let's just leave it like that. No big deal.

Understood... Let's move on.

Not really. John-An clearly just meant the art is inspired by Henry's look in MOS and like anything in movies that specific look is a combination of several different people's ideas and works. What matters is that it is inspired by a scene from MOS and that Henry played Superman in MOS, therefore it is inspired by Henry. Stop being so pedantic.

Er, stop being so dramatic. And what you said just reinforced wha I said. Why not just say that the comic was inspired by MOS instead. Saying that Cavill invented the look is another thing entirely. Why you can't understand this is beyond me.

Yeah, Superman with body hair has been around for a while,
I'm not sure, but I think John Byrne first made Superman particularly
hairy (correct me if I'm wrong on this). Which I thought was a good move
as it made him more manly....that Thor guy must wax regularly.

And while we're on the subject.....

This was the point.

but let's not make this any bigger.

What do you ALL think of this Clark Kent (an BvS extra here posted that he was a stand in) so pretty much this is the CK look.

He....in....his....excitement....used....the .....wrong....word.....to.....express.....himself.

The rest of us understand this.

Why you can't understand this is beyond me.

Yeah, it was totally just me who called him out. Right.

Anyway, I don't know why you continue to make such a big deal out of this. Is it against the rules or something?

Being argumentative for arguments sake is disruptive.

Yeah we never heard an explanation about that right? The Clark Kent alike was an extra in one of the scenes shot on location in Chicago, about to cross a street whilst Cavill rode by on a bike or something? But those on location Chicago scenes ended up being minuscule in the film. Also, they were so zoomed in on Cavill riding the bike if you'd told me they shot that in a studio instead of the closing down streets to shoot somewhere I'd have believed you.
