No, blumatic's comment was perfectly reasonable and in line with the consensus on this board that, as far as we can tell so far, the new suit has a brighter, more saturated blue, but is also lacking the metallic sheen of the MOS version (the increased muscle shading seems to be intended to compensate for the reduced reflectivity).

Looking at the image posted above, I don't believe the new suit lacks the metallic sheen of the original. The chainmail-like mesh skin (which is responsible for giving it that appearance under certain lighting) doesn't appear to have been done away with.
