movies is thicker... Supergirls supposed to have been tailored by his neighbor. But I see the inspiration on the "texture".

Also Benoist is lovely and I liked the classic suit they came across with the different S than MOS's but still classic.

I do have a problem with the tights though, I don't see why they need them. I posted in the Supergirl thread that maybe it's her winter costume to keep her invulnerable legs all toasty and warm.

lol. No, I like how they look. Though I understand guys/gals that don't. It's more like they gave the "urban" look mixed with superhero look as the designer said.

That Supergirl suit looks like a really good Halloween costume. It's just so... Meh. I know TV shows don't have the budgets that movies do, but they really couldn't do better than that? Hell real-life superhero (and crazy person) Phoenix Jones made a more interesting costume than that.

Phoenix Jones' costume is bog-standard 1990s era rubber muscle suit, the kind I never want to see again in a movie or TV show.

The Supergirl costume is simple, restrained and elegant. It's more or less exactly what's in the comics, exactly what it needs to be, and nothing more.

I don't know what else they could possibly do without it being overly complicated. I mean I guess they could have gone with something closer to the MOS suit but they didn't need to (plus budget).

I liked the "vibe" of the S being kingdomcomish to differentiate from the one in the movies.

it's not necessarily a "kingdom come" vibe... that shield had a black background with no yellow lining, while this one has a yellow lining, and a blue background.

it kinda gives me the impression that it was just plastered on there simply because of the blue background.... it just doesnt look very... i dont know, uh... realistic, in a sense. i guess you could say it reminds me of a big 3d sticker placed on her chest as if they said "oh here ya go", Plop!, and then now you have the shield on the suit...

now if it were black, that would be better, because it wouldnt give the effect that it's separate from the suit... the entire shield would look as if were connected seamlessly into the suit, whereas the former doesn't, sadly, to me anyways...
now, if it were me, this is what i would prefer... yes the colors are a bit more saturated (hey, i like colors on my superheroes, sue me )

i dont even mind the red seems that are interlaced in the upper blue

but, as per the OT, Henry Cavill is amazing as Superman.

this is just a hopeful thought, but it would nice for him to play a cameo in the tv series...

And yeah that suit manip is great. In these series they update the suits through seasons, so it will be improved, but I don't know which aspects would be impreved.

And as I've said they are differentiating the suit from the movies to the ones of TV. and FYI, the movie universe would be separated from the TV. hence the differences on the suits, and the rumors that they are casting a superman for the series (for a cameo maybe).

I'd say it's more Fleischer-esque, change the background to black and it'd look even better.
