I learned something interesting about Cavill today.

I was at a friend's house watching Once Upon a Time, and she was a huge Twilight nerd back in the day. Apparently when Stephenie Meyer wrote Twilight, she was visualizing young Cavill (then 19 or 20 or so) as the inspiration for Edward Cullen.

My friend said that it's obvious when reading the books that young Cavill is a perfect match.

He would have been a perfect match for the character during the time he made I Capture the Castle and The Count of Monte Cristo. But he looked too old to play Edward by the time the Twilight movie was being cast. The author thought he would be a good match based on how he looked in Monte Cristo. I would agree, but I'm glad he wasn't in those poorly made movies. Although, I wonder if he would have been cast as Superman if he had been in the Twilight series.

Heh, I'm so glad that they didn't cast Henry in Twilight. He said he never auditioned for it anyway, but I'm glad that the producers didn't go after him for it.

Because who knows? We might have seen Henry as Edward and Robert Pattinson as Superman.

The movie would have bigger success. Who knows.

I'd say the chances of him having another shirtless scene are strong, Snyder will surely reward all his hard work lol. And Affleck will most likely have one as well, and with all the skin Wonder Woman will obviously show,might it be too much?

Not for the director of 300! He had his entire male cast in speedos in 300, his entire female cast in lingerie in Sucker Punch and a lead character buck naked in Watchmen - so there's no such thing as too much skin in a Snyder film.

And even if there are shirtless scenes, they are just a few seconds long in a two and a half hour movie, so it wouldn't be too much.

Your standards are incredibly high if you don't think Welling was hot just a little bit. I'm not mad at that though. Cavill really is another category all by himself.

Welling was too baby-faced for me. I like beautiful men, but they should still have a masculine, sculpted look to them, like Cavill. Welling seemed to still have pudgy cheeks, even at age 35.

Objectively Welling is an attractive man but after one or two seasons of Smallville I realized he wasn't my thing.
