This kinda explains Batman's advantage, He uses his intellect to outsmart his advisory more so than superman who relays on his strength. I've got a feeling this will be showcased in the film in his battle against The Dark Knight.

Only a blind Batman fanboy would think what you are presenting. Superman'a intellect is far superior to Batman's. He's born from a species thousands of years more advanced than a humans. He reads book's as a child that are far more advanced than any child could possibly comprehend. Superman is also the more relatable character. He's the working class guy, earning minimal wage. He grew up on a farm, doing the real man's work. He was raised to be the kind of man that despite what he can do to work within the confines of the law as we all do everyday. Batman is the unrelatabble one. Have you ever been a billionaire? A playboy? Born with millions? Had both your parents murdered in front of you? Had the choice of any woman you wanted? Become a Bat at night time and fought criminals?. I didn't think so.

I'll enjoy the Bat/Supe fight in DoJ, but I honestly don't like seeing them battle that often. It's a bit sad really. :funny: I prefer it when they're allies, but having an uneasy type of relationship.

Yes my preference is an uneasy type of "friendship" between the two men.

Whatever comic panel was shown, that was just one-sided. I just don't think the Superman/ Batman fight was written even. They tend to be one-sided in Batman's favor over the years.

I did like Dark Knight at first through one of its volumes called Hunt the Dark Knight, but when I read the rest of the story I hated as it resurged Batman's popularity while it destroyed Superman's.

Super-intelligence hasn't been a core part of the character for years, but Injustice is so badly written that using that as an example for anything isn't the greatest of ideas.

Superman has always had to outsmart villains and rely on clever use of power and environments to just stop them and minimize casualties and destruction. Otherwise he wouldn't beat people above his weight class.

Saying Batman relies on technique over brute force is also poorly portrayed in Injustice because nobody ever takes care to portray his fighting abilities properly other than just - what do you know, brute forcing things.

What I like about both Henry Cavill and Melissa Benoist is that they like being Superman and Supergirl.

How Henry speaks of the character makes me even prouder to be a Superman fan. As a fan, it's great to hear that the actor playing your all-time favorite character is not only a huge fan himself, but also understands the character so incredibly well. It just goes to show the tender, love and care Henry puts into Superman. That's the number one thing you couldn't ask for more. It's a privilege Henry is our Superman.

None of this is really true,Kal's intellect is a plot deice that pops up when it is needed, usually after every few years. That's not good especially if the character appears in more than 2 books per month(currently 4 plus 2 minis'). His species is irrelevant because he was raised by farmers and he never read any advanced books as a child. I dont recall anything like that in Birthright,Secret Origins,MOS or any comic origin story.
Relatablity depends on circumstances and how the character reacts to those circumstances,no character in inherently relatable. Doing a real mans work for example isnt exactly straining or tiresome for him as it would be for you or me is it?
Wealth, job, love interests dont make you relatable or not relatable.Who here can relate to Harry Potter based on character description? Give a character interesting material to work with and he's relatable. It all depends on the story.

Yes sir. Same way Reeve was our parents' Superman Cavill is our Superman. He's doing right by us.

Absolutely! I always did say that automatically, Reeve is everybody's Superman (and always will be) but Henry is my Superman. It's nice to be able to say that about the two!

I am now of the mindset that every actor who plays Superman is Superman forever. It's just one of those kinds of roles. Certainly Reeve is at the top of the heap as far as being the most iconic and most praised is concerned. Besides Reeve, Cavill is the only other actor who has gotten the chance to play the role twice on the big screen and that is something. Hopefully BvS is good and successful and we get to see him in the role for years to come. :yay:

Nah, fictional stories and these characters actions are on the hand of the writers. So it really depends on the writer as how and what they want to delivered. There is a very big misconception of Superman being a brawn only among the generals because when you really read and observed a great and Superman story, he is indeed a very smart and intelligent and has vast of knowledge and his brain is genetically gifted, you can see that on Superman Unchained, Luthor, Superman For Tomorrow, All Star Superman or Superman Earth One GN (which is an origin story).

I can always say the same to batman where the whole "prep time" is as plot device or excuse for Batgod superiority over anyone else in the League in some stories, or the whole dozens of mastering martial arts to be an excuse to beat every other superhero, when in other times he get his ass kicked to bleed by the Talon or Darkseid's daughter, easily.

So rather than being "wooden and boring" Cavill actually has a sharp sense of humour and seems like a pretty funny dude.

Reeve was bored of it during Superman 2 (I think he got pissed when Donner left during filming) and they had to convince him hard to do 3, and the only reason he did 4 was because he was allowed creative control to tell a story about anti-nukes.
