BvS Henry Cavill IS Superman - - - - - - - - - - - - Part 26

he thought he could just dive in, save the day and leave... and people would see he is good just like the other previous movies. how naive he was.
now look at him... was made to face the laws and to answer to the people who got hurt /suffered due to the consequence of his action.

Here's where I remind everyone.....This is the HENRY CAVILL IS SUPERMAN thread.....that means you discuss the actor Henry Cavill and his playing the character Superman. Henry Cavill is Superman thread....discuss Henry Cavill playing Superman in here.

Cavill is right up there with CR as my favorite Superman. I liked him better in MoS than I did in BvS tho, but that's not on him.

And he didn't even attempt to make a Christopher-Reeve-like speech, explaining all his behaviour and how he loves humanity... very disappointed.

Umm...a little something called a bomb exploded just as he was about to, killing all those around him to whom he came to speak to.

And that broke him so I doubt he had anything to say to anyone, also since no one would be ready to listen after what just happened because of his mere existence.

True. But it's like Snyder, Goyer, Nolan, Terrio - were all afraid to let Cavill speak substantial dialogue.

they just thought action speaks louder than words...
they were so wrong. i guess.

btw, what would you like to hear?

i fight for the truth, justice and the whatever way?
i'm here to inspire hope???

what would you like superman to say to those who suffer / injured due to the consequences of his action?

Same thing happened in SR too, people blamed Bryan Singer for not letting Superman speak much.

People want Superman to have lots of dialogue. :o

These heroes look silly if they talk to much while in costume, its best to let them brood and frown.:yay:

He wasn't as built as he was for MOS, Look at his delts? and the chest is seriously lacking.
You mean the chest which is barely visible in that gif? Now we're critizing his physique, jesus.

Cavill's looks and physique are not a problem.

His looks and physique are the only thing going for him in the role since the character hasn't been written very well and he's never given anywhere near enough dialogue to emote much outside of his usual stone faced expression.

The fact that the director made a lousy story decision doesn't make it not a lousy story decision.

"What have you to say regarding the destruction caused by your own recklessness, Superman?"

"................................................ I ****ed up................................"

BOOM! :funny:

The lack of dialogue in certain scenes was harmful to both Cavill and the character.

Nobody cares apparently cause it supported the narrative and that's never wrong. :o

Agreed.
