There
Seriously though, the end of MoS shows how bad a disguise it is. If Lois was able to recognize Superman in his Clark Kent disguise, other people should logically be able to do the same.
I really do think they avoided the stylish hairstyle on purpose. Slicking it back to seem less pretentious and more natural. Less of a 'boy scout' and more a man of action. Thanks man. That's the Jim Lee style hair I always hoped Henry Cavill's Superman would have.
This is obviously true. However I think the 'secret identity' is something the Superman franchise should just roll with. It's pretty hard to avoid or explain away.Seriously though, the end of MoS shows how bad a disguise it is. well done! look like a cgi... like a comic drawing...
Good stuff.
How do you feel about Superman and the DCU these days herolee?
Reading around, it seems that most people's opinions are sourced around this DCEU's Superman and how he should be. To me (and it may be me reading into it) fans have been speaking the loudest voice in terms of the Superman character being done right and many debates on the interwebs are geared toward that, so I think there still is an expectation and excitement around the Superman character being done right. There are a lot of photoshops starting to go around with people anticipating what Superman will look like and how he will return. Even in the press junkets, the solo Man of Steel sequel has been asked to the right people so people want to see it happen. I think Supes will get it and his arcs in MoS and BvS will pay off. Geoff Johns's first statement when he was officially attached to an executive producer was a Superman comment of him being that hopeful character, so consider me optimistic and an excited Superman fan with his potential role in the DCEU.
Isn't Geoff responsible for how Superman was portrayed and written in the New 52 Canon? Last time I checked, the New 52 take on Superman wasn't exactly well received by a lot of people.
..even though there are a lot of fans (such as myself) who have voiced their concerns over how the character has been handled or portrayed, is that enough to warrant Hollywood Producers and filmmakers to invest in making another solo Superman film? It seems like Snyder has given up on making any more solo films and based on every producers's comments about Superman's solo future, they don't seem to have anything on the table for the character.
Even Henry Cavill, who seems to be Superman's biggest supporter in the DCEU, admits that Superman is a very hard character to tackle correctly.
Plus, Superman was like the only character that critics and general fans didn't really care for in their reviews for BvS...where despite them having so many issues with the film, they at least admitted that they enjoyed Ben and Gal. But no mention of Cavill whatsover.
There is not much I would change in this Superman.Just let Cavill's charisma shine on more(like in MOS) and make him less conflicted about his role in the world(which is a given because of BvS's ending). That for me would be perfect and very similar to the TAS Superman.
Nothing hotter than Superman in casual wear.![]()
