Can someone tell me Superman's Motivation in this film, what does he want.
He wants to fulfill the dream of his parents as a savior. He wants to save lives and to be trusted by the people of Earth. That's why he gets so upset when Lois questions him doing so in the beginning; he does not initially understand that the world may mistrust him when he acts to save lives without their say so. That's why him paying attention to the "media montage" is important, that's why him going to the hearing is a major turning point for his character, and that's why he questions his very purpose and whether he should still try be Earth's savior when the world "turns" on him after he lets them down.
As Clark, he clearly wants to live a relatively normal life with Lois. He doesn't just want to protect her, but their existence as a couple. He cares about her more than other issues, and wants that relationship above everything else ("You are my world"). He has to balance this personal need with his mission, and ultimately decides his mission is worth more than both his own happiness, and his own relationship.
Also as Clark, he's a reporter, so he wants the truth, specifically with regard to Batman. In general, he's crusading for the little guy, especially in the Ultimate Cut.
Clark/Superman actually has a fairly relevant and interesting set of character arcs in BVS, they're not just not drawn very clearly. With the exception of his goals as a reporter and how he feels about Lois, the filmmakers expect you to make sense of Clark's actions and the conversations others have with him to draw conclusions about his motivations and how he's changing as a character, and don't have him talking about how he's feeling much.
