Has anyone actually considered using the Holiday Killer as a villain in the next Batman film? That could be one twisty movie.

Holiday is a dubious character from an average comic book mini-series.

I would say The Long Halloween is one of the best Batman stories ever.

"Long Halloween" isn't average.

"HUSH" and "DKSA" are average, but not "Long Halloween."

....what?

Anyway...I would only see Alberto in The third movie if Falcone was released from Arkham and that's doubtful, and I can only see him having a very small role. Or his name being mentioned for us comic fans.

It is. No sense in the plot.

The plot had bags of sense, and it made sense.

Was it too complex for you to follow? Is that why you're putting it down?

Seriously, how did the plot not make sense or have sense to you?

It is. No sense in the plot, without Tim Sale's artwork it would be long forgotten.

It's a brilliant piece of Batman lore -- its balance in art style, atmosphere, character development, abundance of villain cameos, story arcs, murder mystery, and drama is near-flawless. That's why most people consider it one of the best, if not THE best, Batman graphic novel.

I don't see how you could be confused by the plot, unless you don't like thinking even a little bit.

Would it really work with Two-Face being dead and the other two Holiday killers not exisiting in the movie-verse?

Holiday Killer sounds more like Burton to me. I seriously doubt Nolan would use this character.

It has been a good few years since i last read Long Halloween, but was Holiday not Gilda Dent and Harvey and Albert Falcone. Did Falcone not only fake his own death, try to kill someone and kill one person for his father.

That would be stupid of Nolan to go from villain as epic as Joker to go to Holiday.. i loved Long Halloween but no need to bring him into as villain

If Nolan/Warner Bros want any remote chance at even coming close ot TDK they would have to usee villains like Riddler or Catwoman

Really, for those of you who read When In Rome as well, Holiday could add to the family ties should Catwoman be brought into this film.

yup i did. its in my post here... somewhere.

you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. did you even read it? and what pray tell would be your "great" Batman comic book mini-series

yes it would. Holiday doesnt even have to be Two-Face. it could be a completely different person that the Nolans and Goyer can make up. or since they already established Falcone why not have Holiday be related to him? would certainly have the motive to get even with Batman, and would take the angle about Fathers and Sons which they can relate to Alfred, Gordon and even Lucius.

ideally. however i heard the exact same argument with Ras Al Gul and Scarecrow when BB was shooting and look how great they turned out. you know sometimes it isnt about how epic your villain is, but about how epic your writing turns out to be.

that's because you havn't read many great Batman stories.

Here's a list of stories that are more thoughtful, original, clever and less overwrought than Long Halloween.
Blind Justice
Gothic
Son of the Demon
The Cult
Ego
Red Rain
BLADES (artwork by Tim Sale, contained in Collected LotDK tpb)

"TH is billiant" ha ha ha :whatever:. you've guys have read like what five trades or something

Gothic is the worst comic book ever. Batman comes of as a 12 year old. He exhibts none of the cool composure which he is reknowned for.

No.

It is the story surrounding Holiday that makes THE LONG HALLOWEEN interesting. Not Holiday himself.

What if Catwoman kind of plays a dual role in the movie and IS the Holiday Killer? Again, this relates to my suggestion earlier about linking the When In Rome premise into Batman 3.

The idea may sound odd at first, but think of the dynamic it could really bring to the movie. Honestly, to me at least, the idea itself sounds like it could bring Nolan's Catwoman up to the same level as his Joker, whether or not The Riddler is involved.
