Well they said Civil War will be big and they were right. My comic shop owner said that in the next 2 issues they are suppose to kill off MJ and thats wht makes Spider-Man change sides and see why they need the mask.

With MJ gone, what need would there be for a mask anyway? To protect Aunt May? Killing off MJ is a crying shame.

Honestly, I don't know if it matters anymore. I don't read any Spider-Man books aside from SSM, USM, and SG. I could say that killinf MJ would cause me to cancel all the 616 Spidey books from my pull list, but that would only be one book. Wow.

Honestly, I've learned that, no matter what the fans think and feel, Marvel will always do just whatever the hell they want with their characters...and 85% of the fans will buy it up anyways...so the company makes their profit, the fans (most) complain about it, but still buy it, snt he ones who truly hate it, just quit reading it.

If you are asking what I think, I think they shouldn't kill MJ. I also think they shouldn't have unmasked Spider-Man or had him eat a guy's head/soul. I also don't think they should have had Norman knock up Gwen...but they all happened.

Let them do what they want...it's what they're going to do anyway.

If I remember correctly (depite how hard I try to repress the Makie-Byrne era) they tried killing her off for a while. It didn't pan out well with the readers so they had t bring her back.

quesada actually said the reason he was stopping wolverine from smoking cigars was personal, someone in the audience asked for justification and his response was something along the lines of

"this is a business, I'm in charge, so if I want to change something I will."

The problem is not marvel, it's quesada and his ****ing power trip

Exactly...and Quesada is Marvel right now. I haven't heard of one idea getting passed through the channels that he doesn't claim to be at least partly responsible for...Including "The Other", "Sins Past", and the Unmasking.

Whatever he wants goes, so the opinions of the fans mean even less now than they did in the nineties. Man...a mere 7 years after the end of the nineties, and comic companies are already repeating the mistakes they made....

Wait, so the killing of MJ is official??

No in fact this poster is the first person who's mentioned it but I wouldn't put it past that fat wanker

Well as official as a comic book store owner claiming it can be

why would mcniven be taking the blame for this if mj dying was the reason for the delays, he's gonna catch a lot of **** off this and it just doesn't make sense to protect marvel at the cost of his own reputation

Glad your honest.

I hope they don't go through with this... but I've come to realize that anything can happen with Marvel now.

There has been a lot of speculation about this in the past few months. Quesada has said time and again that he thinks that the biggest problem with Spider-Man is his marriage. That it's ruined the character and that he wants to fix it. So MJ dying is not a new idea or prediction.

In reality, though, do comic book store owners really have anymore inside information than an average internet fanboy? I doubt it. This is probably pure speculation based on hints here and there.

I certainly believe that it would done.

As much as I hate the idea, it makes perfect sense..but Sensational Spoilers:
What about the plot with Swarm in her theatre? If that is ongoing why would they do it in Civil War? and Seriously..if MJ gets offed by a swarm of bees, I would be insulted!!

Hey there... that's a GREAT way to spoil things for those of us who have the misfortune of not hanging out at YOUR comic book store where we can hear what happens BEFORE they happen.

Some of us, believe or not, still like to be surprised when we read our comics.

Way to go, Einstein...

:whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

Does it really matter if MJ dies?

If the fans hate it, she'll come back. If the next creative force decides to bring her back, she'll come back. If someone decides to have her resurrected as a supervillain, she'll come back.

Do you hear that?

*Soul floats out of my chest and into the sky*

Hmmm...Must've been the wind.

Really? I heard that it was actually a teen-ager who felt having Marvel characters like Wolverine and Ben Grimm smoking stogies set a bad example to the younger fans so he raised a public ruckus about it...

However, if it's any consolation, im SURE Joe Quesada is responsible for global warming and the high price of gasoline.
