How I Met Your Mother - Part 2

knew the bride would be robin, no matter what it always pointed at robin. But ted and victoria one more time? wonder how long it lasts before is just crumbles.

Actually surprised it was Robin considering what they just did with Quinn. When Barney wouldn't tell the cops what it was I had a feeling it was a wedding ring, and it was a really cool way to propose, too bad it's apparently wasted on a girl Barney won't be getting married to.

Unless......there is a switcheroo somewhere, or something like a double wedding, I dunno.

Super surprised at Ted, I thought it would've been a great way to close the door on Victoria but I guess we'll be seeing her a lot more often next year.

Also, BEST MIDDLE NAME EVER!

And was that one magician security guard Max from Saved By The Bell? Kinda looked like him.

They were trying too hard with the Quinn proposal so I was calling Robin being the bride the whole episode. I was sure when Robin and Barney were talking after the announcement. Ted said the wedding went wrong and its raining so I'm guessing she doesn't go through with it. Well that was...

I thought the twist was going to be that it was Victoria. :o

Me too. I dont know why. But then I thought that'd be kinda weird considering that Barney wouldve been with 2/4 of Ted's serious relationships

Quinn always has this sinister look in her eyes. God, can't stand her.

Yeah.
And I dont find her that funny

---------------------

I hope Ted and Victoria works out. It prob. won't but still. Kinda messed up for Ted to pull the robbery considering what happend to him.
I'm happy that Barney and Robin got together. I actually like them as a couple, I just think they weren't written as well as they could've been

Enjoyed it...glad to see B and R back together and should be an interesting journey to see how it happens...am concerned about the narrator saying the wedding day did not go well.

As far as Ted/Victoria, I was like, okay, Ted is doing the right thing...then BAM!.
Ted "Evelyn" Mosby, what are you doing?

I think 8 seasons should be enough, and hope they go out on a high note.

The wedding that went wrong wasn't Barney's. That was a red herring. The disastrous wedding was Victoria's (which Ted destroyed).

A quote from Craig Thomas's interview with TV Guide:

Remember: Barney and Robin's wedding won't be smooth, but they will get married.

Any questions?

I am happy that it is Barney and Robin. They have been leading up to the two of them since Zip, Zip, Zip. I am just now waiting to see how this unfolds. Really you can use this upcoming season to show how they get engaged and then the following season can show how they make it to the altar. Much like Marshall and Lily's wedding.

yeah, I posted that before I actually read the article. Your first quote, before you edited, left some wiggle room (and some hope for me).

why did they had to make it clear the whole season thats its Robin? why didnt they make an oldschool twist where it would be a big suprise?

i guess everyone is trying to ignore the obvious? Barney wants to change for Nora and yet he left her for Robin. Robin broke his heart and boom. then he was with a stripper which he loved and moved in with her and even proposed. then he left her for Robin. so Barney in 1 year will brake up with two (perfect for his character. and both accepted him without changing him to be a puppy) girls for Robin.
Ted and season 7. he meets Victoria. so after they break up they meet again and there is chemistry.he thinks they could again be together. he finds out that she is engaged. then he again calls her in the finale and again finds out that she is not single. she is even in the white dress. then in the episode he changes his mind 3 times. so the season starts with Victoria and ends with Victoria the same way. but this is not enough for the creators. again ............''There's also some stuff to play with Ted dealing with [them getting married].'' so we will again have to watch a sad Ted looking and Robin?
so season 7 focused on 2 male characters. and nothing changed with Ted and Barney. its a soft status quo. and why? because Robin and Barney have to be together. the writters are sabotaging the big HIMYM story because they are first forcing Barney and Robin together.

Still banking on Ted and Victoria staying together. It will probably not happen but I always wanted it for him. I never liked Barney and Robin so I will pissed when they actually did reveal it to be her.

I wish Netflix would update the new seasons!

How are they forcing them together? They have shown why they should be together since season 1.

the board game when Barney thinks they will have sex?

But Ted says that the “Mother” of his kids was in the class he was teaching architecture in college. Victoria is not who he ends marrying and having kids with… Yay for that. She was lame imo.

We have yet to meet the girl who was the roommate of that other girl who he tried to date while he was a professor. The yellow umbrella, the toy school bus.. anyone remember that?

the board game when Barney thinks they will have sex?
Yes that was the start to show he liked Robin since then they dropped settle hints up until they finally admitted it and even after the writers broke them up they said it wasn't the end of Barney and Robin. So it really should come as no surprise like it should come as no surprise that the women Ted dates won't last.

Lily and Marschal are engaged and the writters knew that they break them up. so hooking up M and L with Robin and Barney was not an option. then we have Ted and Robin which was written so that they get together in the finale. Barney was in season 1 trying to have sex with everyone. so Robin was just sex to him. its now very different looking back 7 years.
and the board game scene had one purpose. to tell us that Robin was interested in Ted.

this is not a 7 year Shymalan twist.

not really a fan of the Victoria plot, I mean unless they're willing to completely ignore everything that has been revealed about the "mother" over the years (which I wouldn't put past them, but, would be pretty pissed about) we know she isn't the mother

therefore, he just ruined a wedding for nothing

If it was meant to be, she wouldn't have gone with him so willingly.

He didn't kidnap her. :o

he basically did

she was freaking out about the wedding an not thinking right, and he's taking advantage of that

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it says in the article:

In season 8, there will be an arc of Ted with Victoria. To run off with a bride on her wedding day, you’ve taken out a pretty big responsibility. If you’re Ted Mosby in that situation, that is not to be entered into lightly. We will see that Graduate moment. At the end of the The Graduate, we’re like, “What now? What happens? We’re running away from this wedding and what do we do now with this?” Ultimately, we know that Victoria is not the mom. The audience knows that because he met the mom on Barney’s future wedding day. Ted Mosby living his life, moment by moment, doesn’t know that. We look at Ted and Victoria and Victoria coming back around as that last big door that has to close to move on to the mother chapter. I think a lot of people have that. A lot of people — before they really finally settle down, especially as people get older and they feel like it should have happened by now — they go back to somebody from their past.

I was thinking the same thing too. Doesn't he meet her at the Wedding.

I'm not as curious about finding the mom as to how long they will continue the show after we find out. I want to see some of the stories of what happens after we see the mom.
