oh, cool, it's just the contracts. then I hope there's still a few seasons left.

Segel has made it pretty clear that he has no intent to re-sign. I hope that if there is even one hold out on the cast, they scrap the idea of moving forward. This show relies too heavily on the cast's chemistry to try to go on without even one of them.

Didn't sound that way when it was discussed at the TCA.

I knew they would revist Ted and Robin again from reading the spoilers but his admission of love for Robin kind of came out of nowhere. I guess next week is the episode where they re-evaluate their 5 year plan they discussed back in season 2. Seems like Ted is in a slump again and willing to take shortcuts just to get married (similar to the Stella storyline).

we are one step closer to the master plan. Barney/Robin

-will you marry me
-give me time to think
-yes i will marry you...............but i can not have kids
-will you marry me. i love you.
-yes. are you sure you want this?
-Robin i love you. i want to marry you
-i can not have kids......but i also dont want kids. are you sure?

introduce a boyfriend for Robin. break up Barney and Nora which they build up over two seasons.ignore the fact that they spend 2 seasons on Barney changing his lifeestyle for a woman. put Barney and Robin together for one night.two people who couldnt be together. introduce a new girldfriend for Barney who is a stripper. throw inside a desperate Ted who wants to get maried ...........with Robin.

very good jokes . Marshall and Lily have a good story this season. but what they are doing with Barney/Robin/Ted is epic bad writting. its not even anymore that i dont think Robin and Barney should not be togther.but they are making decisions around Barney and Robin that are idiotic.

teddy westside with the desperation i love you so he can feel good about himself and not be a lonely fool anymore.

going to do wonders for his character i think, he will finally get over robin after this and move on so he can get someone else.

yeah, jason said i think 2-3 years ago that he doesnt know where his character can go anymore and when his contract is up he would be focusing on movies and writing. But I think things can always change, maybe he will finish the show off with his castmates and do movies on the side, since thats what hes been doing anyway.

I'm surprised Ted and Barney haven't already had a devil's threeway with Robin yet. Or is that just too racy for CBS? :o

The one episode of Two and a Half Men I saw referenced one between Charlie, John Stamos, and some girl. Then after the girl left, they continued.

Uh, having watched nearly every episode of that show I can tell you John Stamos and Charlie never did that. Charlie is a lot of things, but he wouldn't have sex with another man, at least not without a woman present.

it was when the show came back from when charlie left. it was a one off joke about why stamos couldnt buy the house, bad memories.

Just like that whole episode, it was crap Lorre came up with because he was pissed at Charlie Sheen. Charlie's character that has been in the show all these years would have never done that, and they never would have wrote that if he hadn't pissed Lorre off. I have written that whole episode off as nothing but a man's petty attempt to piss on a character to piss on the actor. Actually, now I like to think the show is some weird nightmare Charlie is having while in the hospital from an alcohol induced coma.:woot:

i kinda agree, because from what i watched of two and a half. charlie isnt the type of person who is...."well the girl is asleep, so lets continue with the butt sex" might as well just have charlie come back in 2-4 years and be like....oh crap what happened? just mindfreak everyone.

he was part of the ending?

Conan had a cameo?! I missed it! Good episode. It was one of those necessary ones that was needed to move the storyline along. Finally everything is out in the open. Oh and I can totally picture Marshall handing over that money to Lily when Ted marries the mother.

He was at the back of the bar when Barney ran out.

And yeah, I haven't seen the last couple of episodes, but I really liked this one mostly because it dealt with Ted and his romantic life. Those episodes always tend to be my favorite since I always see a part of myself in Ted. That's what got me hooked on the how and I wish they would bring the focus back to him fulltime.

What was the last part after the bunches of umbrellas? I had to take my dog out and missed it.

Lily told Marshall to pay up, but he said "Not yet", which would imply that he still has hope for Ted and Robin to end up together. Or he just doesn't want to pay. :hehe:

The Ted/Robin shippers will take that ending as confirmation they will end up together.

Really good episode though.

Liked the stuff with Lily and Marshals bets. Some of the **** they bet on was pretty funny. Marshal giving examples of his sex noises and faces was great. And :hehe: at Ted thinking that the noise was a neighbors sick animal.

Very true. Though I still refuse to believe that it will happen. Heck, Ted started off by saying he remembers the first time he said he loved the mother, and it obviously wasn't Robin in that quick glimpse.

yeah, that confirms she's not the mother. Those Robin is the mother people need to get over it. :cmad:

But I will say that just because she's not the mother doesn't mean that Ted and Robin don't end up together. There are people who think that in 2030, their mom isn't around anymore. Which I have to admit, could make sense. I mean, what prompted Ted to start telling his kids this incredibly long story? It could be that the mother recently left their lives (either by death or divorce) and Ted felt inspired to share how she came into his life as she's leaving.

Seeing the box of Marshall and Lily's bets made me long for the slap bet to return. Marshall still has a few to collect on, right?

I thought this was a great episode, especially the last few minutes. The montage of Robin moving out, paired with Ted on the roof. And all of the umbrellas on the end. Great symbolism.

Wait, people still actually think Robin will end up being the mother? Saget-Ted always refers to Robin as "Aunt Robin" in the future. That's a messed up nickname to call your wife and the mother of your children.

The show has pulled twists on us before. It's not like they couldn't do it again.

LOL I just realized that the movie Ted and the mother were going to see was "The Wedding Bride III". :hehe:

ha! good catch, spideyville. I didn't notice that.

I love how this show relies on flashbacks and flashforwards for a lot of it's humor, plus inside jokes like that. It really sets it apart from other shows.
