Well, at least it's not the Power Rangers Goblin from the first Sam Raimi movie, but...yeah, this "Goblin" (and it's more than obvious now that it's Harry Osborn and not Norman) looks like he's ready to break into this song and dance routine:

Looks like I was more or less right those years ago...

They're combining the 616 and Ultimate Goblin together.

Mutation, but retaining the classic look. ...sort of.

Who would thought they could go worse than Raimi's Power Ranger Goblin?

Who would have thought 'crazy guy in goblin mask' was beyond Hollywood's reach?

Also, anyone else think DeHaan looks like Garfield in that pic?

Since he isn't green I doubt he'll actually be the Green Goblin per se.....I just bloody well hope we see Norman in full green and purple regalia in the next film!

Here goes my hopes that I would ever see something close to movie GG concepts I made some time ago. :(

Why is it so hard to do a proper Goblin?

They were half way there :( The hair ruins it for me. It's not that far fetched to make him wear a cap that's bonded to a mask. The face looks great, but I'm not too fond of him transforming. Unless Norman becomes the real deal later on and wears a mask.

Still looks better than the all-green Power Rangers suit in the first movie.

That being said, yeah, it doesn't look that great.

i'm actually amazed people are saying this is better than defoes look. at least he looked somewhat like a goblin with the mask not a pissed of spike from buffy

Well, there's a chance he will look better in the film (colours, the hair might not actually look as "Garfield-ish" etc). I hated the RHINO look in the poster, but I loved what we saw of him in the trailer

It's very rare that I'm that guy, the naysayer. Those that no my history on the boards will know I'm much more inclined to be positive about stuff such as costume designs or at least give it the benefit of the doubt until I see the final film. But I cannot deny that this Green Goblin design looks like absolute ass. One big plus of the franchise reboot was surely not being beholden to the cruddy, widely-panned design aesthetic of the Green Goblin costumes of the Raimi films. But it seems like they've somehow managed to keep every thing people hated about that take on Green Goblin, while also removing what few things they got right.

its like the people in charge of these movies see the name green goblin and panic about how it will look daft on screen to go insane trying to "modernize" and make it cool.

also where are you guys seeing the trailer?

8 times out of 10 face will always be more important then a mask, they will only use a mask to hide his face for a reason

I am actually pissed. Because Sony is trolling or they are stupid as fu*k. I can't believe they dont know what people want to see. Specially when everyone laughs on previous design of Green Goblin for Spider-Man installament.

They pouring piss at fans as they commenting, we are listening the fans.....

its the hair, everyone just hates the hair, had the hair been covered everone wuld be happy

Since when was Goblin in the movie? Doesn't this thing have like 5 villains now?

He's green, he looks creepy, and he's got a face that can move. The only negative is the hair.
