I think that rachel will die at the hands of the joker fueling the batman\joker fued. Opening up room for the selina kyle to come in.

Dent will be in either the hospital or arkham. The split personality emerging (possiblly a secret he has been hiding the entier film?)

The joker will he die will he live. Who knows I guess well have to wait and see

I think that will be a good way to lead to The dark knight returns.

it'll end with the death of rachel dawes, joker escaping, and the loss of an ally and the birth of another villain. So...on a darker note not so hopeful note for the city of Gotham. Batman sets out to do the right thing and ends up causing more problems.
