Well, at least it wouldn´t be Liev Schreiber, which is just a mediocre actor in my opinion. Haven´t seen award material of Phillipe either yet, but he was pretty good in Crash. I Prefer Phoenix or Owen though.

While I agree with that there being better choices for Two Face, I guess Phillipe could pull it off nicely if done correctly or vice-versa but I'm gonna wait a while until I make my decision of his casting being horrible/great.(If he is cast of course)

Ledger is angreat actor and I watched Brokeback Mountain couple weeks ago. I think he will be great as The Joker but as for Phillipe I'm not sure about that.

im sure he is a great actor, i just dont see him as the joker, im really hoping he and nolan will prove me wrong (saying that i wasent keen on oldman as gordon wen i saw him in begins though he was great)

Aside from Katie Holmes I loved the entire cast of Batman Begins it was perfect casting. The last thing I saw Heath in was The Partiot & A Knights Tale & The Order. I can get used to Heath Ledger as The Joker but Ryan as Dent hmmm that is going to take alot of getting used to

I would be really upset. So many better choices.

I have pushed so Hard to get cole hauser in the fight for this role and have gotten into debates w/ the schrieber and other fans. To cast Phillipe as dent would be a serious smack in all of our faces and I'm sorry to say would bring the film down in my eyes.

Now,

I've seen his movies. I read on here that some people are like he is a great actor....... IN WHAT MOVIE???? Crash He was okay. What scene in that movie was so spectacular that are making people follow this guy.
Someone says that whoever is voting terrible is being stubborn..... why is that? He is an okay actor. He should be no where near the Dent role period c'mon folks we need to unite on a candidate and show whoever is casting these people who we really want.

I don't really mind him that much but I think a better actor can be had. IMO the worst part about it is that they seem to be going after names first and then thinking about how it'll play out. I would rather have actors that haven't been on covers of Teen Magazine.

So I was at work today, and as I work in a video store we talk about movies often. We were taking stickers off a big stack of movies, and two of my female coworkers started talking about Heath Ledger (they were working on Casanova). I chimed in saying "did you hear he's playing The Joker?" and while she seemed okay with that, one of the girls response was "yeah, and did you hear Ryan Phillipe is gonna be Two-Face?" in a very displeased, disgusted voice.

Just thought i'd let you know what non-geeks are thinking, to show that Phillipe-haters aren't only upset because their favorites didn't get in. I'd accept someone other than Schreiber if I felt who they picked would be good for the role. Cusack sounded interesting, and for a while I thought he actually landed the role (some loser lied about him annoucning it on the radio). I'd never thought of Cusack, but was okay with the idea. Phillipe, on the other hand, makes me want to cry.

Seriously though, they just brought respect back to the Batman franchise. People are gonna be skeptical enough with Ledger as the Joker, if they really cast Phillipe, people will go right back to expecting Batman movies to suck.
