The Dark Knight How would you feel about Phillipe if the rumors are true?

How would you feel about Phillipe playing Harvey Dent?

  • Great! I couldn't imagine anyone better for the role!

  • Pretty good. There are others I'd prefer, but this is a good choice.

  • Unsure. I'll wait and see.

  • Pretty bad. They could've done much better, but I guess they could've done worse.

  • Terrible. I can think of very few people who would be worse.

  • I'm so mad I refuse to see this film.

What are some "below par" areas in Batman Begins? If you say film editing - I disagree, it played well with the animalistic Batman, Begins was depicting.

a few problems I still notice when I watch it are moreso in the script, mainly in that the movie strives to be a serious drama, then every once in a while comes a cringeworthy attempt at comedy, or a clanging one-liner of some sort. Other than that I think that though this was the "beginning" I still think they wasted far too much screentime on areas like bruces parents, not that their characters weren't important to the story, but after all that screentime all we know is they were reeeeeally nice people, that's not character development. Same with gordon, all we know of him by the end of begins is that he's one of the "good guys", not much more. there are more areas that still don't sit right with me, so anyone championing begins as some kind of deep character driven story is, in my opinion, sightly naive.

If Phillipe was cast as Dent...i would be greatly disappointed cuz I know Nolan and the producers could have got someone more suitable.

He May Not Be That Bad. People Were Pissed Over The Casting Of Ledger.. And Now They Dont Kare.
Who Ever Is Cast Everyone In Here Will See The Damn Movie

are you a child? Here I was assuming this was a discussion, oh well...

Assume what you want but INWT wasn't created for people thinking that long as I trust Nolan the movie will be fine and that is not true.

I'll take Phillippe over Lucas as Dent anyday though....thats for sure!

so, you trust in nolan, as in you believe that he will make a good sequel to begins? Seems pretty straightforward. I prefer not to put faith in someone who is at the end of the day just another movie director, just like Singer. I hope TDK rules

I trust Nolan because he pays attention to comics and tries to faithful to comics and adds his vision and as for Singer I do not care about Superman if SR was successful or not. Sure Singer has his vision for Supes franchise but for Batman I liked what Nolan has done and Sequel will be better then Begins he knows what works and what doesn't work, I agree both are directors.

The problem I have with this is the problem I had with Superman Returns and Spiderman.

All the actors are too young and too pretty and it just does not look believable.

Superman Returns and the Spiderman movies look silly in my opinon because of the young actors in positions and acting in ways that do not fit there age in the very least.

I really hope Phillipe is not in the this movie, Ledger is pushing it in my opinon.

There are so many good actors out there they could choose from, the only reason they would choose Phillipe is to cash in on his looks and his fanbase which is what makes some movies, especially the Spiderman movies, cheesy!

In the case of Spier-Man, the main cast were straight out of high school (in the movie), soooo what's your point?

Phillipe's a good actor, but compared to Christian Bale, he looks really young. I've always thought that Bruce should only have 2-3 years on Dent.

Phillippe's not such an awful choice that I'd get all pissy, but it'd probably mean we'll get vain a$$hole Dent as opposed to TLH Dent, which wasn't what I really wanted. I'd reserve jedgement and remain cautiously worried.

The main cast was straight out of high school but all the receptionists, all the people on the streets, all the extras were all young people.

That was part of the story of Spiderman but in my opinion Spiderman is way too cheesy, the acting was not that great!

I dont like the actor but if he's RP then I just hope for the best Nolan and the rest of TPTB wont let us down.

I am fine with whatever Nolan casts. A. He has basically molded the character that fits in his film. I trust him because he also has his brother and Goyer around him telling him who would make a the perfect Dent that is written on the pages of the script. And that does not mean he does not have to pick someone who looks like the most like a comic version of Dent. Don't get me wrong I am actually pulling for Liev, but I am not going to boycott the freaking movie if he isn't chosen and someone like phillipe is. That crap is just a load of b.s. Anybody who says that will still be lined up in the ticket line to go see the movie summer of 08 no matter who is cast. B. I really am having problems understanding what the problem is with Katie Holmes. She played her part perfectly fine. Do I think the part was a little under written, yes I do. I really don't think there would be as big of a Katie backlash if it was not for that horrible TomKat crap that started around the movie and ended up over shadowing the premiere of Begins. Basically my point is let the chips fall where they may, enough of this boycotting crap. Doing so will not change the mind of Nolan and crew if some people say they don't like the selection of Dent and are going to boycott it. It just doesn't accomplish anything. Everyone who is a batman fan should just see the movie and judge it, don't judge it before they have begun FILMING for gods sake

Yes, and not only the Batman fans, but everyone.

I'm unsure at this point if he does get the role, I have to see the make-up/trailer of his character before I have any idea as how his performance might be.

plus...I just heard on the radio today the Phillipe will play Two Face, at least thats what the person who did the morning radio show said.

I find all of these rumours and so called reports in obscure non mainstream magazines and media outlets about RP being cast as Dent/Two Face interesting. There has been no official announcement....and Jett has been sounding lately that RP may have indeed been the one chosen.

Is all this to get fan reaction? Or has it not been officially announced to mainstream trades and media because WB and or Nolan realize that most fans may be a bit disappointed in the casting and want to let the news out slowly?? Hmmm.....I wonder....
