The Dark Knight Rises Hugo Strange

He deduces the Batman's identity and plays psychologically with him by placing life-like mannequins of his parents in Wayne Manor with audio tapes.
Okay, this would be awesome. And wonderfully disturbing.

If Hugo Strange starts off as a celebrity psychologist like in the comics, perhaps part of the viral campaign could be his website, complete with an infomercial. If Tom Hardy is playing him, perhaps it could be through this viral site that the casting is first confirmed. We could see Hugo Strange doing an infomercial that's something like this:

He really is the perfect villain to bring the series back to Bruce, his parents, and the psychology behind Batman.

I agree^ This would be a great choice for a villian

If he IS Hugo, then should he lose weight, or be a 'super fit' version of Hugo?

Because I've always thought that Hugo is a old, ugly guy that looked meak, but when it came down to it, his body was almost as fit as Bruce's. Tom Hardy is good looking and young, even if they 'ugly' him up. We'll see.

Yeah. I'm no expert on Hugo Strange, but from what I gather, one interesting thing about him is that, like Bruce Wayne, he's honed his body to its physical peak, but while Bruce Wayne had the advantage of starting out young, tall and handsome, Strange is middle-aged, bald, short and ugly. Bruce is an archetypal heroic figure who was made to be Batman, whereas Strange - no matter how many weights he lifts or how strong he makes himself - will never truly have what it takes to be Batman, even if he puts on the costume and pretends to be him.

With 'Begins', you had the League to protect 'Crow and Ra's. You had Joker's goons in 'TDK'. I wonder if he needs a 'body guard' type to protect Hugo. Or some hired guns.

The inmates of Arkham, juiced up on a cocktail of steroids and hallucinogens to turn them into mindless, violent "Monster Men" of sorts?

I really think it'd be better if he twisted minds.

Monster Men in terms of metaphor.

Hugo Strange and the Shake Weight.

I'd like Hugo Strange to uncover the truth behind the Dent cover-up and deploy some of the tactics he used in Strange Apparitions to eat away at Batman's psyche, maybe even to haunt Gordon. Most important to me is seeing Hugo Strange nearly convince Batman that he is as psychotic as the villians he hunts.

did a quickie Tom Hardy Hugo Strange manip.

That manip is wicked awesome! Talk about a disturbing villain...really he could be as creepy as the Joker imo...

Easily. I started believing to a god as of Tuesday, just to pray that we get Strange in TDKR.

When everyone was sure that The Riddler was going to be in it, there was that "FBI specialist"-theory going around. With Strange something similar might still be possible. Maybe GPD will use Strange as a profiler to get to Batman?
