Did I walk into an issue of Fraction's Hawkeye all of a sudden?

You walked into confusion. Doom has the ability to control a planet but yet has no super powers. Go figure.

It's not a fallacy. It doesn't matter at what exact point in time Planet Zero gave them their powers. All that matters is that Planet Zero is responsible for their powers. I don't know what psuedo-scientific explanation the movie will give, but we can assume they all got their powers through the same basic mechanism.

So he isn't any more magical than they are.

Before I go forward let me say. I'm not saying you're wrong or right.

The point I disagree with is ever since we found out Sue wasn't on the planet the FF's power (possibly)became more about how they got back i.e. radiation from interdimensional travel and not simply Planet Zero itself.

The gap between Doom who never left the planet getting power vs. Sue who never touched the planet leaves a lot of room for interpretation(until we see the movie) of what their powers are.

If those theories about Doom were correct who knows what kind of stuff he picked up in the potential decades he was away. Is there a difference between the Negative Zone and Planet Zero?

I never in any post made a comment about him being or using sorcery. So let's stop that(that was other posters ). My point from the beginning has been the context of his power.

Sue not being on the planet is important cause it contrast to Doom. It's like saying someone exposed to West Nile not directly or for a long time doesn't matter. How Susan and the other three are exposed vs. Doom could account for a lot of what we see. Like how Doom jumps dimensions with no tech or survived that fall or what the heck is powering that blue beam.

it appears that when they return to earth their is an explosion in the lab that Sue is caught in. If you look at about 2:17-2:18 in the final US trailer it looks like it shows Sue being caught in that explosion.

Probably, but yeah its a bit crappy that Sue isn't allowed to go while Ben who appears to just be visiting that day gets to go on the trip.

Yeah, it's very important indeed....and not in a good way. Let's take the 50+ years of history that tells about Reed, Johnny, Ben, and SUE travelling off on an adventure together and being changed into super powered superheroes....and change it into a story of the "boy's club" travelling off together on an adventure and leaving the girl behind to monitor them....and then as an after thought she gets caught in a last second explosion that gives her powers too. But.....lets make darn sure that Doom, who was never on the adventure in the history of the comics gets to be there and be the main focus of the transformation stuff going on.

She will have the chance to go to Planet Zero anyway, so I don't mind.

Too bad she wasn't important enough to go along with the others on the initial trip....or that it wasn't important enough to the writers and producers to keep the basic storyline in tact.

The source material hasn't been too great on this front as well. I was hoping this would be something the movie would improve on.

However, I can't judge until I see the movie. So far everything else I've seen of her looks great. It is just a bit concerning.

No...it doesn't. It doesn't make sense that this production has decided to change everything that people have enjoyed reading for over 50 years. If they wanted to make a brand new science fiction movie that has very little to do with the FF...then make a brand new science fiction movie that doesn't call itself the FF.
