You are probably way overanalyzing things. Plus...shes your boss? That isnt a good thing. If you think there's chemistry it may just be that shes a nice boss (or the sanitizer was making her woozy). I wouldnt press the issue at all until and unless she did.

But of course, theres nothing wrong with having friendly conversations with a female. I kind of like the idea of giving her a nickname (I give nicknames to most people I know, mostly because it helps me remember them, but they all feel like its a special thing). Whatever you do to get confortable, do that. And remember, this is a random chick, not a supermodel...there really isnt any reason to be nervous. Talk about normal stuff, because, you know...shes normal.

You've been here for 5 years now Heretic, you should know by now, no guy asking advice on thise message board is talking to some normal chick. These guy's are talking to their soul mates and they only have one chance to impress them or suffer the consequences which are never to know love.

When I was working at a movie theater years ago, I remember a fellow co-worker getting involved with one of the managers. Corporate found out about it and gave the manager an ultimatum: either leave the job so you could still see her or transfer to a different location. He did the latter and the last I heard, they got married. The funny thing is, he was around 30 years old at the time (the manager) and the female co-worker was my age at the time (around 18).
