Yeah, I'd prefer that Eva play a character like Amora the Enchantress, or Hela, or even Madame Hydra. A role that can really let her cut loose and show her stuff.

She's shown plenty of her stuff in her last few movies. Someone tell that girl to keep the mystery alive from time to time.

Yeah man, only the best choice. I've had her as my number 1 pick for years if Death was ever brought to screen. My pick is:

Eva Green

It doesn't hurt that she already has previous chemistry with Brolin in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Okay, I could definitely go for that. And as for Death mostly being a mute character, I think that for the MCU they should change that up a bit. She doesn't have to be the most talkative character around but just a bit more so than her comics counterpart.

I feel the Thanos and Death relationship really needs to get established before Infinity War. I know it's gonna be a 2 parter, but I'm still worrying we won't get enough development as we should or something similar. I don't know.

Would death be an actual entity or should thanos just be batshi♧ crazy? Lol

I could see them just having Thanos do scary, evil things before IW part 1 while withholding his motives until the first act of infinity war, where we'd meet death and whoever else Thanos has in his circle (I'm hoping we see mephisto, and maybe since red skull got sucked into space Thanos took him under his wing)

I agree but I wouldn't worry about it too much. There are going to be tons of movies to be released before Infinity War & we don't know when and where Thanos will appear, and what he'll be doing. So there's always the chance we'll get the needed establishment/development between the two before then.

By tons you mean 5, of which 2 are set in space. I'm pretty sure Thanos ain't showing in Civil War, Strange, or Panther.

Thor will deal with Ragnarok and Loki/Odin with potential (likely) for Thanos to show. Guardians is really the best opportunity to understand Thanos before the Infinity War films. If Death shows up, it will be in Guardians. There isn't as much opportunity as you think.

At the very least, Death should be established before IW. Give us a bit more background before throwing her in IW as well as Thanos' motivations all at once in the film. Seems like it would feel more natural this way than in the same film going "By the way, there's still being that's the embodiment of the end of life and Thanos is trying to win her affection." Of course it's not going to go exactly like that, but you get the idea.

I'm not sold that Death will be there. It's a really difficult concept to show on screen. That doesn't mean I don't want to see it, just that I wouldn't be surprised if Death is cut.

It wouldn't be Thanos without Death.

I'm curious as to the whether (assuming death is involved as a person) Thanos will be fighting to win back her affections after she rejects him due to a past failure like in infinity gauntlet, or if Death will be into Thanos and they'll stand together. I prefer the way it was in the story because Thanos' rage was based on pure desperation for Death, which was really cool

I think the best way to portray Death would be to manifest "her" as Thanos' schizophrenic vision... or a plane of reality that only he has access to depending on what you choose to believe as an audience member.

Basically, no one other than Thanos can see Death, and every other character wonders why he appears to be talking to himself all the time. In their eyes, he's truly the Mad Titan... emphasis on mad.

I like her to be real rather than a delusion of Thanos'. If we don't get the Watcher in this duology then her presence could fill his role as the harbinger of important **** going down, only with a far more ominous overtone. It can be done so that only Thanos sees her as a gorgeous woman, while everyone else sees ol bone lady.

^ Agreed. And she's going to be used, I think that's been made pretty evident. Josh Brolin himself has said that's one of the concepts that made him more drawn to the character, not to mention the mention of her at the end of the Avengers. It seems pretty evident that Marvel plans to use her, if they didn't it'd reduce Thanos to a one note villain that just wants universal destruction.

Including Death in his affairs is crucial because it's what separates Thanos from the rest of the pack and it makes his character more well rounded. Again, Marvel knows this so I doubt they'll skip out on this aspect. They'd be cheating themselves if they did.

The death relationship is the reason Thanos is one of my favorite fictional villains. It's what makes him so interesting to me. I hope IW part 1 opens with his Titan origins, where they introduce a young Thanos meeting death and then destroying Titan. Something more extensive than a standard opening scene, similar to the krypton opening in man of steel.

Oh, that would be beyond awesome. I'd love if they actually delved that deep & showed some of Thanos' origins, or at least the integral bits. I think it'd be a great way of expanding on Thanos' character in the MCU without tacking on too much.

Hell, now that I sit and think about it...you could probably make an entire movie based around Thanos' origins. Would Marvel do it? That's anyone's guess.

I would go with some model for the adult Death, then Maisie Williams for the young version.

They could do a whole Thanos prequel trilogy if they wanted! (Well, maybe that would be milking it a bit, but I do think there is a lot of darkness in cosmic marvel that they can use Thanos to introduce if they were to expand on him through prequels after infinity war)

I like Josh Brolin's voice. I'm still on the like it/love it fence though.

One of the comments on that video said the German voice was extra evil sounding, anyone have a link to that?

Brolin's voice is great. In the german dubbed version he is voiced by Klaus-Dieter Klebsch and yes, he sounded extra evil but unfortunately nobody uploaded the clip by now.

I definitely wouldn't want them to overdo it but I think one prequel would serve Thanos well & get the point across.

I love The Thanos Quest because it shows how freaking smart Thanos is, manipulating his way to all the infinity gems, and so prequel or no prequel, I truly hope his intelligence takes center stage

Most definitely. Thanos is a well traveled character with access to vast amounts of knowledge so that needs to be presented no matter what. I think doing anything less would cheapen all the build up we've gotten so far. From his intelligence to his characterization to his power level, absolutely everything needs to be done on point.
