The Dark Knight Rises Ideas For Incorporating Characters Into the Nolanverse

Critical Difference: Sandman was lame.

Clayface, under a skilled director would = awesomeness.

Harley Quinn would be my choice for the next villain.
The great thing about Harley Quinn is that it can provide the continuation of Joker's existence in Gotham City. (Harley Quinn meeting Joker in the Arkham Asylum..and ........ well you know the storyline:yay:)
Because in the old Batman movies(Burton/Schumacher), after the first movie, Joker was completely killed off and they never even mentioned his name nor referenced him at all after the first movie.

They said something in BF about "Revenge won't make the pain go away"

That was a reference to the Joker dying.

CONCEPT ART FOR NOLAN-IZED KILLER MOTH

they should use him as a joke, how they use the shocker in ultimate spiderman :hehe:

OK. I like the idea of using Clayface - although, the actual name Clayface is to close to Two Face and that might cause for confusion in the marketing. Anyways, I have this idea about using the Clayface. In this part Clayface would be almost genius compared to his common roles in the comics and other media. Clayface aka "insert name" is man who was lost in mayhem of TDK, after learning about the fall of the Batman was a cover, he completely loses his mind and learns how to create masks of other people's faces (some type of technology gained from Wayne Enterprises or better from Roman Sionis, some faces important and some just random. Obsessed with finding out whom the Batman is and inspired by the Joker's anarchy, Clayface begins to carryout murders that slowly start heading in the direction of Bruce Wayne and Lucius Fox. Bruce and other important characters start to notice. After attempts to stop Clayface fail and attention is pointed towards Clayface and his freaks instead of the Bat, everyone "starts to lose their minds" again as they realize that Clayface could be anyone and anytime. Gordon and the Batman come up with a way to finally stop Clayface all the while Gordon trying to redeem the Batman in honor of the Batman having saved little James. Bruce on the other hand is trying to finally capture the last of the "freaks" so that he can retire the Batman for good and pursue other things or another love interested. (you can expand some on this)

Now mix in a minor freak or two that can appear as rivals or better could be used as goons or even better be a gang of freaks doing Clayface's bidding. Add the compelling theme of redmeption, bring the Nolan’s back to write and direct, add beautiful music and a meaner than ever Batman and I would pay to see something like this.

The problem with using Zsasz as a villain is that Tim Booth played him in the first film and he is by no means an experienced actor. He's a musician and was only selected for the part because Nolan is a fan of the band James, and wanted to give the guy a small cameo. I mean, as a James fan myself I thought it was a cool cameo, but I wouldn't want the guy to have a supporting role in a Batman film as a main villain.

The Tally Man (The African one, maybe played by "The Haitian" from Heros) or Anarky, or the Terrible Trio would be good substitutes. They are people I'd like to see in a small role, maybe in something like this.

Just like how people get confused with all these comic book characters having _____Man in their titles?

I know I get it but still it's just weird that they'd have to use another "face" named character in the next movie, these villains aren't as popular as Batmand Superman

They don't have to be. It's an accepted moniker (like the suffix 'man') that's typical of the genre.

thank you scarecrow for quoting me, i think thats the first time anyone has ever quoted me and what do you think of my post o anarchy?

why did you post that twice?and i think that nolan could make any batvillain deadly, its all about stripping them down to their bare elements what makes them them, the jokers insane logic and message, Ra's quest to eden through genocide, then building on top to make them more recognizable.

Anarky would be great for one of Nolan's films, and I think based on his history he's a reasonable follow up to The Joker. But see, No one else thinks that. They'd rather see villains we've already seen before, like Riddler, or Catwoman, or Mr. Freeze. I say give someone else a shot. I think Anarky and Black Mask would make a good Bat film. Neither are that well known amongst the mindless majority, so it would be a good initiation for them to delve further into the Batworld.

back when you sig was "would you lik to see my mask?" i once responded with a yes , sounds stupid of me,no?

and yeah i would love to see black mask and for casting i think the guy who voiced him in the batman has the voice to pull it off and being he played raiden in the second mortal kombat movie,he could bring the presence of the leader of the false face scoiety

The way I see each movie has had 3 different villians each with his purpose in the story.

Batman Begins
Carmine Falcone
Scarecrow
Ra's Al Ghul

The Dark Knight
Sal Maroni
The Joker
Two Face

Third Nolan movie
Black Mask
Bane
Riddler

Not only that, but each villain fits some archetype. You have:

The Mafioso (Falcone, Maroni)
The Psychopath (Crane, Joker)
The Vigilante (Ra's, Dent)

Therfore, the third film should also have one of each.

Roman Sionis, the Mafioso
The Riddler, the Psychopath
Bane, The Vigilante

This is actually really badass.

Brief summary of my sequel to TDK... (thoughts for characters after this)

-Have the sequel take place a few months after TDK
-batman hasn't been seen since he has gone into hiding but bruce has been keeping track on everything.. maybe some cool stuff in the new batcave to keep track of all the known bad guys who escaped the asylum..
- Roman sionis' company is being bought out by wayne enterprise
- cops are still looking for batman
- they pull the riddler out of Arkham to find out who batman is..
- riddler begin's looking for people who match descriptions and reasons and eventually finds bruce
- have a few people kidnapped from wayne enterprises throughout the movie with riddles left and lucious is the last one.
- bruce starts watching riddler
- bruce gets a note with a riddle saying that riddler knows the truth. and if bruce can answer it then riddler will not tell the police the truth
- bruce meets with riddler to try to convince him that he is not the batman
- riddler is kidnapped
- bruce finds out where riddler was since he put a tracker on him
- batman finds out that riddler was working with Sionis (the black mask) to catch batman.
-since the cops are corrupt he had his men release the riddler so sionis could find out who batman was and why he wasn't around.

k so this summary makes it seem like the villains are more important but if nolan was making his take of this then it would be much better...

now the characters...
Riddler- I do not want the version of riddler with a suit and hat and cane.. i want riddler to be smart and not weak but not like anything that has been seen visually for him.... my choice would be michael c. hall
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0355910/

Black mask- must hate bruce. tough guy who is good with a gun. good actor who can match with christian bale.. my choice would be Karl urban
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1491639040/nm0881631

side characters
killer croc- Nathan jones (give him a skin disease resembling croc like scales.. and have his teath sharpened.. used as the muscle guy)
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2740100352/nm0428923

persoanlly i would like to see the joker again. but i want an actor who can do well and not seem like he is copying what ledger did. I think daniel day lewis would be the only person to fill the roll in ledgers place.. but i know it will not be the same so i hope they do not use the joker...

harley quinn could be used but i doubt it
i don't want catwoman yet (to many bad interpretations)
i would enjoy penguin to come in as head of the mob but they said on batman-on-film that he and catwoman wont be used

--Jess--

i like this for bane,

the batman is an outlaw yet the mob is still in ruins
a south american prison escapee has come to gotham looking for the one man he finds as a chalenge, batman, ever since his childhood bane has had nightmanres about a bat and he believes the batman to be this bat, so he wiskes to stop the nightmares through defeating the batman in combat, so he systematically leads the leagueof shadows , now under the command of talia al ghul, into gotham (the narrows). realaeses the whole of arkham asylum and watches batman take the others down in an attempt to study the batman in combat and learn his moves so that the he can expect batmans everyu move.

I would rather not have Bane this early in the Batman mythos. Bane is a character that's meant to come in later in Batman's career...after Robin, after Batgirl. More of a middle aged Dark Knight faces Bane.

You could have said the same thing for Ra's, which completely contradicts the timeline set in comic continuity. Point is, this is a new timeline so anything goes.

Catwoman-Doesnt need any big changes really.
Poison Ivy-Sexy botanist who protests against certain people and creates toxins using plants
Killer Croc-Boxer or Circus guy who has a skin disease and is very muscular
Clayface-Master of Disguise
Penguin-Mobster/gangster, short, long nose, limp, facination with birds
Mr.Freeze- Scientist who goes after some people who didnt help him with trying to cure his wife. Creates guns with anti freeze in them.
Riddler-Man obsessed with puzzles
