The only way I would mind Bane being portrayed like that is if he uses it as a cover. Pretends to be little more than a goon when in reality he's pulling all the strings. Then, eventually have Bane overtake whoever he "worked" for, as a little symbolic way of killing off the horrible Batman & Robin version of the character.

yeah. I would love for them to portray him as a bad a**, like someone people would like, not fear, but yet he installs fear into people, but he is likable you know, like the joker was funny and then sometimes scary, a mostly sane man though.

I like the idea that the only way he can save gotham is to bring it into chaos and then he could rule and rise to power, offering a way of protection and what not.

Can someone tell me why people always say how "unrealistic" the Penguin is for the Nolan movies? He's really not. I think every character could be interpreted for the movies. Except perhaps Clayface butcha never know.

I think Nolan just considers the character too camp for his franchise. Remember, Nolan's only real exposure to Batman outside of what he's done is through the 1960's series starring Adam West. Burgess Meredith's Penguin yelled, "QUACK!" as an expletive and had an arsenal of exploding animals. If that's how I knew the Penguin, I wouldn't want to use him either.

Well, I mean posters on this forum say how Penguin is "too unbelieveable". Frankly I'm so sick of hearing about how "unbeleivable" all these characters are. It's not like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight takes place in the real world. There's some pretty expanded believablitly in the movies.

Does anyone think that the Killer Croc portrayed in Batman: Gotham Knight would fit well in Nolan's universe, if the character were to be used? Or is it still too fake?

way too fake, have you read, the joker hardcover, although i have not, i am going to pick it up on my next trip to the comic shop, I do no that killer croc does have a minor skin condition that really doesn't change his appearance that much. . .

I can recognize a good manip when I see one. I was actually thinking it could be possible to have Croc as a low level gang member. He has a crocodile tattoo. Killer Croc is just his (I know I'm going to regret saying this) hood name. Fit for a cameo appearance.

My ideas for the sequel.

I would love for harvey to live, It would be great for him to have not died, and rather been kept a secret, a secret that batman and gordan alone would share. They have become guilt ridden with the situation(keeping harvey a secret), he is being held in arkham, he wears a full mask(over his head so he cannot be identified, gordan requires it be on at all times for his protection, there is small hole where the mouth is), everyday the guards come in and harvey yells and screams that he is harvey dent(he has been becoming more unstable, they did not take him from his coin though), some days he doesn't eat, or talk or function(possibly because his coin has told him not to), he now has two fully functioned minds(he developed them as a result of isolation). He flips the coins constantly, he never decides to kill himself though(one of the personalities will not let him, it is the only thing his other personality does not leave up to chance). He has all the paper work, birth certificate, and full jury and judge, as well as 4 witnesses that were at his trial for the murder of someone who never existed.

The Joker(who I feel should be recast, for a cameo-ish role), well he has been incarcerated for multiple murders, but thankfully he had enough money to hire 3 of the best lawyers in the U.S.(he anticipated his being captured, although his plan to show the cities true evil on the boats failed, he has not lost hope, he did not get the deathv sentence and got possibility for parole, if he completes 5 years therapy), he is probably the only person in arkham who knows who that iron mask, as the inmates call him, is actually harvey two face. The joker who truly has no identity, has been keeping his eye on harvey, gaining credit, and psycho analyzing his own counselor.

When a prison break happens 17 inmates get loose and 3 doctors(counselors) go missing, and 5 prison guards die. The inmates that escape include, The Joker, Iron Mask(harvey dent), Dr. Jonathan Crane(scarecrow), Victor(Mr.) Zsasz, Cameron Van Cleer, Maximillian Zues, and the rest are rather large bulky men.
The first man to escape on the cleering is maximillian zues, who is shot dead, second is Cameron Van cleer(dubbed the killer for killing a paraplegic, some call him butterfly moth), who as running is shot in the leg, everyone important escapes(excluding a few no names). The whole thing is presumed the jokers idea(the batman and gordan believe he knew everything that would happen, they would have to incarcerate harvey, but he did not plan on there being a cover up), the joker captured his own doctor harvey quinzel, and he tortured her a bit, mostly psychologically(he branded her with a J, and made her cut smile scars on herself), eventually she was cutting herself without the jokers telling her to, she becomes faithful(cause madness as you know, is like gravity, all it takes is a little push), to make her prove her loyalty he makes her kill the 2 counselors he caught(one of them being a personal friend), she does so and is hence forth named harley quinn(a play on her name and the harlquinn).

The joker let two face, zsasz, scarecrow, and the rest free to create pandemonium and chaos. He then set harley free with a new take on life. And then one day the joker simply strolls in to the MCU(major crimes unit)with handcuffs on and keys in his pocket, all he says is" So where's the commissioner."

The new mob boss who wears a skull reminiscent mask(in hopes of a installing fear), begins to fear the inmates release, non profitable murder is a bad thing, they have went into hiding and have converted to more theatrical methods. The new mob boss is referred to as Mr., Sir, or boss, is called black mask by those who know him (he has a very small role, coming in only one or two scenes, and referred to in two others in which they call him black mask).

The persons name is roman sionis(business CEO, who ran his company to the ground and donated the rest of his money to charities, although he is secretly black mask), next to his body is a skull mask(broken in two), this is the first scene batman has been allowed to examine by gordan since TDK, batman investigates and takes the mask, one glove(worn by sionis).
He figures out the mask was broken into by a baseball bat, and it was one sionis's head when he died. He figures out that the black mask mobster is sionis, although there is no way to charge a dead man with murder, sionis stood against everything harvey dent(not two face) was about, the next day(saints day) a batman impersonator is killed, a particularly good batman impersonator, one who works out and wears body armor, he speaks very similarly to batman as well, although he is not named, they believe him batman at first, even gordan does for a few seconds before he examines him very closely. The news is all over batman dying.

Bruce who is having to deal with the release of the inmates, he tries to capture them all first capturing zsasz, who stabs hims multiple times, when they take in zsasz they not that he has no more scars, having documented them all, so he cannot be the killer. Batman confides in alfred,the night batman examines the evidence in the new bat cave, alfred comes in, they exchange there bits, and then alfred asks master bruce if he wants something to eat, bruce declines. Alfred walk out and simply says, looks like its going to be a long halloween.

A few days later, veterans day, gordans wife is killed, gordan is distraught, and takes a leave and sends his kids to live with there aunt. A few days later a friend goes to gordans house(thankgiving), when he walks inside he finds gordan covered in blood with a bullet hole in his chest(and he has been cut and tortured, but he is alive), and harley quinn on the ground with a bullet in her head, batman investigates and a sniper shot through the window hitting harley in the head, and hitting gordan.
The news calls it the holiday massacre, and the killer the holiday killer.
Batman is searching a long line of clues, that the killer accidentally left, they leave him in a trail of blood splatter, there are the escaped arkham inmates he must face(4), one being scarecrow, he gets gassed by scarecrow, but he beats down 2 of them and one runs, one he captures and talks to still under the effects of the toxin, he gets that waylon(the guy that ran) is going to the holiday killer, he follows, waylon and meats him in the sewers something waylon tried to do to avoid batman tracking him, when he gets there waylong(who is a large man), is being distorted by the toxin(still in effect),(he is crocodile reminiscent), he beats waylon who has something in his pocket, the item is a silver dollar(it has one side destroyed), there is a transcription on it, it says "let faith and luck guide you." There is a note that tells him to go to a house and there he will find the holiday killer. When he gets there he get knocked out. When he wakes he finds harvey dent in front of him and he is not wearing a mask. Dent begins to ask him about good and evil, he tells him there is black and white with no sides of grey. He begins explaining the murders he committed, he tells him why he killed ramirez, saying she was evil she just lacked guts to kill, he explains how sionis was evil and how he needed to die, he says that if rachel could kill any person in the world it would be him, bruce tells him how he has fallen from grace, harvey stops speaking. Bruce yells harvey after a time of silence and then two face raises his head looking bruce in the eyes, his voice becomes much deeper and very raspy sounding. Then he says that for every evil harvey undid, I would have to kill one good person, so he killed gordans wife, batman asks two face(but addresses him as harvey) why he didn't kill the kid like he tried to in TDK. He replies, first off my name is Apollo or simply Face(Harvey-two-FACE). He then says what do you think I'm a monster, I flipped a coin, she won the toss, Fate chose her. And you let gordan deal with the pain(batman). It only seemed fair, he let harveys rachel die, I would let him have pain, and then let him die. Batman asked why he killed harley, and he replies he didn't. Batman tell him the bullet that hit gordan shot her in the head.
Dent looks at the ground and then looks at batman. He tells him its one good person for one evil person, and he miss counted, gordan lived, and harley died.
Dent looks at batman, so i need to kill one pure good soul, and thats obviously not you, see you have shades of good and evil, Dent pick up his gun, and he holds it to the unburnt side of his face, bamtan yells no, and bam. Harvey falls to the ground.

In the end, batman sneaks into gotham, he goes to the jokers sell, and the joker tells him how his plan worked, and how everyone can be evil, harley quinn, dent, even you,
and Batman replies " I didn't kill harvey, he killed himself, because he beleived in eliminating evil, even if it meant taking his own life. I leave you with a little present. Batman puts a silver coin on the table, it is completely unharmed and perfectly silver.

It show bruce walk out and the next scene he is at his parents grave with a pearl necklace and his father wallet, he places them on there grave and walks away.

The next scene involves gordan telling them that the holiday killer is gone, he comitted suicide and gordan revealing batman is innocent of all crimes. Telling the people he is the savior of gotham(at a press conference, late day , the sun is going down), he is the one who solves the unsolvable, the worlds greatest detective, he is on a caped crusade, he is the dark knight, he is the Batman.

IDK. I guess thats what a bit of time will give you. What do you think? It's just a way to adapt long halloween.

kind of, the parts they took from long halloween was the gordan, batman, dent relationship, and they left out one of the biggest parts, the holiday killer, but he is essentially very similar to john doe from SE7EN and mix that with scream(multiple killers), and then add in hannibal lecter(calender man), with a detective(batman), and another detective that is much smarter(riddler)

The big part of The Long Halloween was Two-Face's origin story. Replace the Holiday Killer with the Joker, and then you get The Dark Knight.
