If it were up to me there would be none. The movie would focus on Bats and Joker. But WB seems to mandate having one so I dunno, Vikki Vale, Julie Madison, someone who would fit in well as a minor character.

BTW - Rachel should be a character who leaves Gotham City for a job in Metropolis in BB2 (or 3 I'm not picky) and Selina should be Batman's love intrest.

lets be honest here. this is not superman/lois or spiderman/MJ. this is batman. it doesnt matter who they will have, at the end they will not be together. and i am a little tired of this. let BB2 be about bruce. i want to see bruce in hes all glory. i want to see the utimate badass. batman when fighting crime doesnt care about puss....y .

the only chicks that i want to see near bruce are the ones when he is pretending to be the drunk and rich wayne

Who said that Bruce should have a love interest? I think that Nolan should go outside the norm of Superhero movies and not give Batman one at all.

Bruce is obssessed with being with-Batman...it is his obssession, so it would be cool to see Bruce actually be 'in love with being Batman'. I would like to see Bruce Wayne have a girl that is trying to get close to him, but he keeps treating her like **** (to keep up his playboy persona)....but he shouldn't have feelings for her. I'd like to see him just use her for sake of appereances like when he needs a quick date for celebrity dinners and whatnot, but then totally treat her like dirt when they are alone-this could also demonstrate than he cares for no one (romantically) except for his love for being Batman. It could be similar to how Bale(Patrick Bateman) treated his secretary in American Psycho.

Hey, Blade didn't have a love interest in Blade (except for his love for killing vampires)..and that worked..?

I do not dislike the character Rachel nor do I dislike Katie but if she was not to appear again or died this would be the next girl in Bruce's life I would like to see:

Andrea Beaumont. She may have had only 1 comic book appearance in The New Adventures of Batman and Robin Annual #1, but we saw Vicky in the first Batman film in 1989. I hope if they did bring her in that she would find out Bruce's secret like the animated film but do more with it.

As to do have her be The Phantasm? Most likely no because while they could introduce her in the second and make her the vigilante in the third it would make it too much like the animated film (which kicked ass anyway).

I like most of what you said but I don't want his secret found out by anyone else. A secret isn't a secret if everyone knows.

I think a couple films down the line it would be okay for Bruce to reveal who he was if the love intrest is Selina Kyle. If it is Talia she should already know. If it is someone else, they should never find out.

None. Any love interest in the next Batman movie should be from Harvey Dent and his soon to be wife. Keeping Batman a loner type is refreshing and when there is a love interest it will actually have some meaning.

In my honest, I'd rather there be no love interest. The film should concentrate only on Batman, Dent, Gordon, and our ever lovable maniac, The Joker. A love interest would make it cluttered, and generally, it would probably uninteresting.
