yes, that's it, I can't get onto the other server for about 20 minutes. I don't know why this stupid internet at work blocks stuff on one server but not the other, it's idiotic.Have photobucket blocked?

A cast of the best actors in history?t:

How Nolan has managed to fanagle so much artistic control at a point this early in his directorial career, I'll never know either. Most new directors either get lost in the whole Hollywood machine or are spat out by it, but he's in the thick of it pretty much unscathed. The man must have a way with words to get those guys in suits to somehow go along with him. Or some serious skills in hypnosis.Unbelievable cast, almost a dream team of the best actors in the world. How Nolan managed a coup like that I'll never know. And after the Dark Knight we can add Ledger to that list.

At least Bryan Singer had a "big movie" track record from doing the X-men films. Nolan had nothing big before BB. The trust that WB had in him from the beginning is amazing.I don't think it's that surprising in the case of this franchise. WB gave both Cristopher Nolan and Bryan Singer complete control over their respective movies. In Singer's case though, maybe that wasn't such a good thing.
Awww, what a nice interview. I'm glad that the interviewer didn't get all up in his face with a mike and just let him talk instead. And I'm reminded of the BBM article where Ang Lee spoke at length at a press conference, and Jake and Heath looked at each other like, "Wow, he speaks English really well!" Apparently he rarely talks during a shoot, which made Heath really nervous.

Memento and Insomnia were pretty big. Big risk going with him but he had a pretty good track record so far.At least Bryan Singer had a "big movie" track record from doing the X-men films. Nolan had nothing big before BB. The trust that WB had in him from the beginning is amazing.
nolan had respect and credibility.Memento and Insomnia were pretty big. Big risk going with him but he had a pretty good track record so far.
Not "big" like X-men1 and 2 were, though. And I was referring to budget - WB had a lot of trust in handing him $150 million to resurrect Batman. Memento cost $5 million and Insomnia was less than $50 million. He was a total newbie when it came to $100-million movies. No way would a company like WB hand over such a large franchise to any unproven director.Memento and Insomnia were pretty big. Big risk going with him but he had a pretty good track record so far.
nolan had respect and credibility.
that's what they wanted to bring to the franchise. there's no way he could fail more than schumacher.
there was a risk, sure. but they wanted to bring a REAL credibility back to their top character.
