Incredible Hulk director has been picked!

^ Yeah well James Cameron can't direct every movie on Earth can he? I also never suggested he's better than Bay? Where the "F" do you keep getting these statements that I never made?

That has nothing to do with this. Michael Bay can't direct every movie on the planet either.

It's a stupid question Advanced Dark. It's like asking why Christopher Nolan is a better director than Uwe Boll. Or why Steven Spielberg is a better director than Brett Ratner.

Also you asked why Cameron is better than Bay. I simply answered.

Michael Bay also won't direct the Hulk sequel. Bay will never direct a sequel to a movie that wasn't his.

Stephen Sommers is a more likely candidate.

You did ask why Michael Bay is better than Cameron, which is still a pretty stupid question.

I never asked why Cameron is better. Hello? Also, I realize Marvel is the studio but Paramount is the distributor and directors who have 1st look deals or contracts with Paramount also get priority over other directors to work on the films even if Paramount is only a distributor. It's just a door that wasn't open before and there's a much better chance that he (jj) could be in talks for a Marvel film sooner than later that's all.

hmm... I wonder if Marvel can convince Steven Spielberg to get behind this... he worked with Bana in MUNICH...

Now that's a good idea!

I'd be shocked at that one. Spielberg I expect will be directing Captain America. He's infatuated with the character.

Spielberg will never direct Captain America. There I said it. Just like James Cameron will never direct it.

I would never say never. James Cameron was working hard to do a Spidey movie so I wouldn't say a movie like Captain America would be out of the question. But I don't see it happening. I would LOVE to see Spielberg take on the Hulk or Captain America though.

He I watched most of that Night Watch movie last night. I'll watch the rest today. Damn is that movie awesome....at least so far. Really damn strange though but what a ride. Not many movies from other countries translate so well to appeal to me with the exception ofthe Hero/Flying Dagger films. :) I know this directors name was thrown around too.

Wanna bet. Spielberg's name will be annouced as the director for cap before next year's comic-con. That's my prediction. He really loves the character, worked on the character before in animation, and it's close to home for him.

Yeah.

On a side note what about Robert Zemeckis for Hulk...or Dr. Strange.
show some proof about Spielberg and Cap ;)

I remember SOMETHING about Spielberg and Cap in the past. Was it something for animation? I can't remember. :(

Surprising that the director's announcement is been kept so tightly under wraps. Normally these kind of things leak early.

UPDATE

Director announced!!!!

Visual effects director-turned-helmer Pitof is in negotiations to direct Universal Pictures' "Incredible Hulk". Eric Bana continues to be attached to the project, which has no start date. So we've been lead to believe, but look what happened after the 40 days comment, and countless others on other marvel movies. I have a feeling even at comic-con we will get **** all.
