Man, I can't believe they had that shot already, considering what went into making that set.
It was a series of practical shots. So no digital tinkering was needed other than wire removal.

Yes, but if you think about it, it makes sense that they'd shoot the CGI-heavy stuff first, so they have time to work on it. Plus the set would have required time to build and the stunts would need time to choreograph and perfect. Surely they just didn't toss JGL and a stuntman in there with a camera and told them to have at it. :funny:

Actually, that they shot the hallway scene so early, with those considerations in mind, makes me think that Nolan wanted it to go into the marketing early. :funny: redfirebird2008, what about that theory?

I'm sure there were a whole host of considerations and variables that led them to shooting that stuff early, not just marketing. Didn't the Bane/Batman back breaking stuff was done with early too? Perhaps Nolan likes to start with a high pressure workload and gradually cool off as he shoots.

Well, i thought the Marvel/Transformers films were very well marketed.

IM2 and TF2 both had very lazy marketing. Didn't matter in the case of TF2 because the first one was loved so much that people showed up in droves regardless. But IM2 definitely suffered from the marketing campaign.

Not sure about logistically, but he has said he likes jumping in with emotionally heavy scenes, at least. He did do the Batman-Joker interrogation in TDK early on in the shoot.

Meh. And I think it's because of Matthew McConaughey's voiceover.

Does it get released online today? 14th now in the UK

I believe 9 AM PST. Although not sure how accurate that is.

i just found a bootleg to watch. The opening shots of the crops (yup) reminded me of the opening shot of the hats in the Prestige for some reason.

You've gone cray cray. :oldrazz:

Just now got a chance to watch the bootleg and I dig it. Has a very hopeful tone to it, which is unusual for Nolan. Kind of reminds me of Batman Begins and Memento in that way.

Yup. I'm liking it more and more. It has a quiet poignance about it. Better than the Rises teaser.

Come on people be creative and youtube it...Its out there.

Btw, I just saw it during The Hobbit...At first, I was not paying attention and then when I recognized Mathew's voice and saw 'Fron Christopher Nolan'....CHILLS ALL OVER MAH BODY!

This film will mean alot to me, I love the subject of time travel, Chris Nolan is my favorite director...so masterful at storytelling...And this just feels so epic. The anticipation and the tease, it was the BEST PART ABOUT GOING TO THE MOVIES TONIGHT.

That is true. Its nothing but a few clicks away.
