Interstellar - Part 4

Oh man I never read the original script but I was really looking forward to seeing Nolan in that type of territory so I hope it isn't true.

For those who've seen the trailer, can anyone identify the music? I know it's an existing score, and I think it might be James Newton Howard (or if not him, Thomas Newman), but it's driving me crazy because it's a score I've liked in the past and probably already own somewhere, lol.

Awww man. I wanted to see (MASSIVE SPOILERS;DON'T READ) [BLACKOUT]sarcastic robots.[/BLACKOUT]

A shame.

Me too. I will definitely miss [BLACKOUT]Tars and Case[/BLACKOUT] if it ends up being true.

And by [BLACKOUT]Alien[/BLACKOUT] do they mean the[BLACKOUT] Ice creatures[/BLACKOUT]? God I hope not.

Yep. That's the only [BLACKOUT]alien[/BLACKOUT] that I can remember from the script so I'm guessing that's the one.

I believe it was from V For Vendetta, but I could be wrong.

Ah yes, I was totally wrong about the composer (forgot about Marianelli being big on those ascending string compositions as well), but I was right that I own it, ha! Thanks.

The more I think about it, the more it seems like a IMDB troll using the perception of Nolan of "grounding" things to make up a bs shooting script. I mean, aren't Nolan scripts really secretive? people couldn't get a handle on the scripts for TDK or Rises, which were far more active amongst fanboys, yet somehow the Interstellar shooting script leaks?

I don't buy it.

thats a myth created by the nolan fanatics. every Nolan script was spoiled months before the realese. i of course didnt read them but it was. of course 5 months before the movie is out you dont know if the info is true . you only see a story on the internet by an unknown source. after the movie is out we all smile :cwink:

Inception didn't leak. Bits and pieces of TDK/TDKR leaked but not the whole thing. BB was intentionally leaked.

Not really. TDK had a script outline that leaked that was similar to what happened in the real film, but there were key differences.

Inception had no leaks.

And TDKR was really easy to predict. Some fanboys were guessing the plot a year before the film even came out.

But none of the scripts leaked. So I will doubt this IMDBer for now.

Yeah... Parts of the TDKR shooting script leaked. I remember our Pittsburgh :ninja: got the shooting script for INSIDE the City Hall scenes. IIRC, he even said that copies of the script were just out there for anyone to take. :funny: We already assumed that Marion was Talia because there were paparazzi pics taken OUTSIDE the City Hall but we would never have known her stabbing Batman while revealing herself if that part of the script didn't leak. There were several more - like the Blake/Selina scene at the airport, the Fox/Bruce Bat scene, etc.

RE: IMDB post about the Interstellar script - I'm not sure either if it's real but I wouldn't rule it out. The source (IMDB!!!) makes me want to doubt it but I'm one of those who think that Nolan's secrecy is blown out of proportion.

I'm not talking about microscopic bits and pieces. i mean the whole thing. Plus, how can this IMDBer know about changes as significant as those he says if he only read parcels of it like the TDKR bits?

The TDKR times brought out the worst in trolls. Anyone remember Dorance?! And that Bane/Gordon steak scene! :hehe:

The Ben/R U from South America or something??? is still the best though. And I'm not even convinced that the poster is a real troll. :lmao:

I was responding and agreeing with redfirebird2008's post that parts and bits of the TDKR script leaked. I'm not going to defend the IMDB poster. :funny: Like what I said, the source makes me doubt it but IMO what he posted sounds reasonable and possible.

Good times.

I wish I was around during the "BEN" times. Those must've been a riot.

Saw the trailer today during Godzilla preshow, Nolan is really holding back on this one, more than Inception.

I bet Nolan was disappointed with the amount that leaked via set pics alone on TDKR and wanted to try and rectify that by keeping this one as tightly guarded as possible.

I'm glad though. I want to know as little as I can going into this one. It also helps control expectations better. I'm sure the third trailer will cut loose, but even so.

Haven't read any of the leaked scripts or info, haven't watched the leaked French trailer. I'm behaving myself on this one dammit!

It was one of the funniest damn things to ever happen on these boards. Dude was a laugh riot.

Yep. "Hi, I'm Ben." :woot:

One of my favorite memes from that time.

In regards to the alien thing...

Are you guys forgetting the gravity beings? They were really cool and original. Maybe the poster meant them?

I can appreciate the fact that Nolan is holding back on the footage. Too many trailers show the entire movie. I like the fact that I can be surprised in the theater now and again...

Just got back from Godzilla and my showing didn't have the trailer. A bunch of people on the Box Office forums are reporting the same thing, even in International territories where WB is the distributor for both Godzilla and Interstellar.

Not a fan of the marketing campaign so far. Hopefully it doesn't completely kill the film's chances of reaching an audience.
