Wow so glad I didn't look at Phantasm's post. I figured it was just gonna be a joke/troll but I didn't want to risk it. Sorry some of you guys got spoiled. I think this is the end of the line for me too.

It was a joke. No worries.

I think (or hope) that we're all on the same page in terms of not wanting to spoil this film for fellow Hypesters.

Yeah, I wouldn't actually spoil anything for you guys. I don't even know the ending of the film.

What's bumming me right now is I really want to see this in IMAX but its just so expensive for one ticket... I keep going back and forth on that.

What's bumming me about this is I have to go to Alabama for work training from November 4th to the 7th, when I'll land home around 430pm. That means I can't go to the midnight/preview showing I've been planning to go to for months.

I also really want to see this at the AMC Lincoln Square IMAX in NYC (biggest screen in the country), but it's going to be tough to land at 430pm, get home from the airport, and then jet into the city to make this showing. Plus, with my luck, my flight by probably get delayed somehow. Woe is me.

Might have to settle for my local LIEMAX, because I won't be able to wait until Saturday to see this.

Yeah, that sucks. I probably won't be able to see it opening night either, as I'll be out of town.

It's rough when you've been waiting so long for something and can't see it immediately like everyone else will be, or like you normally would.

If you have the chance to see it in real 15/70 IMAX, you should do it. The closest one to me is 5 hours away, so I'm stuck with my local LieMAX. Hopefully still a very good experience.

I would pay 50 bucks to see this in 70mm IMAX. It's well worth the typical $20-$30 ticket, in my eyes.

Lmao. Sorry guys. Once I saw that some of you were seriously duped I couldn't help but keep the charade going.

I said "nay" though, that should've tipped you off.

Has anyone else's Interstellar anticipation caused them to pick up Civilization Beyond Earth this week? :woot:

LOL my gut told me it was a joke but I went into paranoia mode. Glad it's still safe in here.

Why the intense need for this to be universally loved? Isn't polirizing better?

Especially for a grand scale space opera that relies on realistic science elements. Why are some of you so keen on watching Rottentomatoes and Metacritic percentages? Getting upset at every negative reaction? To begin with, this genre isn't for everyone. Now add to that the heavy climate change elements of the story and you just isolated more shallow, partisan viewers. Now add to that the leaps of faith and guesses the movie will inevitably make in the face of what is unknown so far in science, and you may even turn off some more people.

Take Inception for example, awesome, fun, deep, existential Sci-Fi classic, yet polarizing as hell. Most people liked it, many loved it and many hated it. Too loud, too convoluted, too over-complicated to seem smart, etc..

You can't please everyone, and if you're trying to, where's the artistic integrity? The response so far from smart people I admire is overwhelmingly positive. That's all that matters right now. I can't wait to consume this on the biggest screen.

I am not worried about negative responses .
The movies going to be a big hit .
There is nothing to worry about .

From that review it said this about Anne as Brand:
It's the part she was born to play and she kills it.
:applaud
A nice early present before her November 12 birthday. Her career will only get bigger after this I think.

I'm as big of a film fan as the next guy, but I just have such a bad feeling about this film. Nolan's work has been getting worse and worse since Following, and this could easily follow that pattern.

The talent involved is great; McConaughey, Hathaway, Chastain, and even Kip Thorne's involvement. These are promising signs, but if The Dark Knight Trilogy and Nolan's pretentious dream movie are any indication, this will likely end up in the same bucket.

As big a fan as anyone else,
But you have one post to your credit and you just had to use it to tell how us how worried you were?
And Memento is a step down from The Following?
LOL!

I laughed.

Maybe if people stopped drooling all over Nolan for no reason, then statements like mine wouldn't sound so foreign.

Your statements don't sound foreign. They're in line with the words of many trolls who have come before you, declaratively bashing someone/something without providing any particular logic or reason for having such an opinion.

It is also telling that you decided to create an account here at "SuperHeroHype" specifically to make a negative comment about Christopher Nolan's filmography. Either way, welcome to the Hype and I'm glad you were finally able to get that off your chest. I imagine a great burden has been lifted from your shoulders.
