Interstellar - Part 6

Everyone has the right to be selective about what they go out and see and choose how to spend their money.

But yeah, there are some films that are just automatic must-sees. Plus, seeing movies in IMAX is one of my favorite things to do period, so every Nolan film is pretty much midnight showing material for me on that basis alone. It really makes going to the movies with your friends feel like this big event, as opposed to when you see something on a regular screen. So much fun.

i don't consider myself a Nolan fanboy, though i do dearly love several of his films (Memento, TDK, Inception) but, yeah, i love stuff shot on IMAX. i will never forget my first IMAX viewing of TDK. it felt grand and cinematic to me in a way that was fresh and just completely swept me away, whereas 3D and HFR and all that has its sort of gimmicky cool aspects but usually jars me or distracts me or chops up the image...basically just takes away from my immersion and awe.

All trailers live and die by their music...the music drives everything. You can have a really effective trailer that doesn't show much with the right music and the right editing.

Yeah, I'll never forget either. It was a really special experience, ever since then me and the same group of friends who saw the TDK midnight IMAX have gotten together to see all of Nolan's movies in IMAX.

So psyched that they're doing the early IMAX release this time. What's nice is that we'll see the 8:00 showing on Tues Nov. 4th, so we'll get out at a reasonable time. Midnight showings in the middle of the week have wreaked havoc on my work life, haha.

Trailer 3 already has as many views in one day as trailer 2 did in 2 months. Talk about a tortoise and hare situation.

Can I say how striking and handsome Wes Bentley's facial hair looks in the space suit's helmet?

Well, the final trailer IS supposed to be the one that gets asses in the seats. ;)

Btw Marvolo, the Neil DeGrasse Tyson clips you have in your sig could practically be promotional material for this movie.

Love that guy.

A dirty Nolan thread. I approve.

LOL yeah that explains it, but yeah Hathaways expression in the trailer leaves it open to interpretation. I wonder if whoever edit this things have that in mind. Without a proper context , i have no idea whats happening in that scene

So is the trailer music not in the movie?

It figures I get hyped for some aspect and it's not by Hans Zimmer (it's by Thomas Bergersen.)

The hype orgasm Anne makes Nolan dirty. With thread. Babe...
