Some interesting comments in that interview. I'm curious to see how the show will play up Danny Rand's adult man-child attitude. I think him just being naive in general about the world in 2016/2017 can be very amusing. Like it could greatly work to comedic affect, or it could come out really awkward. In Avengers, Whedon was able to make it work because Evans had this nice earnest quality as Cap, and Whedon discovered this amazing relationship in Coulson worshipping Cap which gave us some great moments.

Something Simone Missick said about the romance of Misty and Danny really makes me hope it's in the shows at some point. Like if she gets together with Danny and asks about Luke, she'll just say "we went out for coffee once." Danny's reaction should be that he literally thinks they went out for a coffee date. Since he's lived a sheltered youth in an ancient city, Danny shouldn't really understand sex euphemisms or double entendres.

Just for example, I always thought Chris Pratt's Jackson Pollock joke in Guardians was a bit silly because I mean, when you were eight years old, were you interested in art history and Jackson Pollock? I mean the joke is funny don't get me wrong, but that seems more like a Chris Pratt improvised joke than something Peter Quill would actually understand and say.

I thought of that too, because my brain works like that, nitpicking... But then I chalked it off to the possibility he may have heard an adult make the joke while he was on Earth and it's just something that stuck with him, until he reached puberty and the joke he would just repeat without understanding suddenly made sense... That actually happened to me with a couple of jokes I heard from my uncles t:

Good point, but to understand the joke means knowing what Jackson Pollock art looks like.

Now playing Devil's Advocate, his mom might've been a very artistic type, and besides educating her son about classic pop music, she might've forced him to read up a lot on art history and painters like Pollock as well.

But yeah, the joke sort of always sat with me as a little odd.

Well I first heard Jackson Pollock referenced on an episode of Red Dwarf when I was a kid. Didn't know who he was or what his art looked like, but I got enough context from the joke that it must be considered messy at least.

It's been over three months since the last trailer and less than two months until Iron Fist Premieres. So far, we're getting a whole ton of news about Defenders but very little about Iron Fist. It almost feels like an afterthought to Marvel at this point.

Well they've already released two trailers. They will probably ramp up promotion in February.

But to be honest, I felt like Captain America's marketing was almost an after-thought in 2011. It was Paramount's last Marvel movie and they seemed to put minimal effort into it.

I'm not sure what you're expecting? There have already been two teaser trailers, promotional art at both NYCC and SDCC and promotional stills released. Remember, we didn't get an official full length trailer for DD, JJ or LC until a month or so before the premieres. I expect a lot more promotion for IF starting next month.

Yeah. Remember, this is still a TV show. It's not a big budget movie like Power Rangers

I think Luke Cage got a teaser and two trailers. Maybe it was three. We already had a teaser and a trailer for IF. We'll probably get one or two trailers in the upcoming months.

The way I've noticed, we already one full trailer, with mostly first half season footage. The next trailer will have more footage from the second half. And it will probably ramp up about one month out.

Screeners will probably out about 3-4 weeks before the premiere.

The last trailer was considered a teaser trailer. Full trailers for the Marvel/Netflix shows are at least 2 minutes long. I think the first full trailer for IF will come next month and then a final trailer will be released a week or a few days before the premiere.

It was pretty substantial for a teaser trailer. I know it was called a teaser but offered a basic overview of the plot.

Those episode titles are awesome. Are they titles of Kung Fu movies? I believe there were rumours about them naming the episodes after movies.
I don't recognise any though but some of the names sound like kung fu moves/techniques.
