Yes, if you ignore half of his films, they weren't THAT campy. :whatever:

How can anyone argue there is anything equal here? He made Moonraker, The Man with the Golden Gun, and A View to Kill. Complete camp. He was in Live and Let Die and Octopussy, mostly camp. TSWLM and FYEO have plenty of camp.

TSWLM has Jaws, the car crashing through the roof of a house and a man exiting completely fine, a rocket sidecar, a car that can turn into a sub, and the chicken joke. All in one scene.

You say this as if any of that was a bad thing. That whole sequence was awesome, especially Jaws living through that. He can't be killed.

I like Jaws. One of the fantastical elements that never bothered me. Even his turn in Moornaker didn't leave me disgusted as it did some people.

If you watch Moonraker for what it was, schlocky fun, then Jaws' turn to the good side was adorable.

Yeah, pretty much. I feel sorry for his new girlfriend, though.

Speaking of Moonraker, as an Asian-American I find that Chang was such a stereotypical evil 'Asian' that its stupid awesome. The dude was a man-servant, had a bowl haircut and wore a kimono!

I mean, by 1979 Asians were 'in' thanks to Bruce Lee and the Shaw Bros. so it's bizarre to see Moonraker going against that tide.

So I'm watching The Living Daylights and might I say that this Moneypenny was a hottie with her sexy hipster glasses. She's way more hotter than the skinny-arse Russian girl.

All things considered I was not expecting it. And it's weird, now that geek chic is big, to think back then this version of Moneypenny was suppose to be bookish and nerdy. And now it's the opposite.

That's the problem. We should not be finding the villainous henchmen "adorable". Even with some of the Roadrunner/Coyote type stuff in TSWLM, I think Jaws was a good villain. But Moonraker destroyed his credibility by pairing him up with this:

Have you seen the last page?

I often find the online criticism towards Moore to be overblown, to be honest. And it just makes it worse when most of these guys champion someone with, IMO, bland qualities such as Lazenby or Dalton because they match fleming.

Really? I find the internet's praise for Moore annoying especially since online critics hate Brosnan's camp. At least, Dalton fans who criticize Moore have opinions that make sense. If one likes a more serious interpretation of the character, one will probably prefer Dalton to Moore or Brosnan. What you find boring, they find understated and a bit of the character's everyman portrayal in the books.

The only thing about Pierce's Bond was that he didn't have a british accent. He was pretty much an american James Bond lol. But I guess its just me, I started with Pierce's Bond movies and the N64 Goldeneye game is what introduced me to Bond.

He doesn't have an American accent. It's a cross between an Irish and mid-atlantic accent.

Pierre's accent has always been mixed due to his background by all means, he didn't sound American. Or that American-ish. You can tell he was a Brit..of some sort.

However i can see what you're kinda saying. I guess however that he does have 'Liam Neeson doing his weird American accent' thing going on: Clearly Trans-Alantic.

I love how people trash Pierce Brosnan for Die Another Day yet want to give Roger Moore a free pass for his films. Its double standards.

I don't. Trash Brosnan for Die Another Day that is. He was the least of that movie's problems.

Besides Connery, Moore & Craig all had clunkers too. Only Dalton and Lazenby have gotten by without a real stinker, and that's mostly because their stints were so short. In Dalton's case, he also the only one without what I would consider to be a true classic Bond film.

That's nothing compared to how The Man with the Golden Gun treats Asians.

While that's true, I give 'Golden Gun' a slight pass because Moonraker came out in the twilight of the 70's so there's no reason for a character like Chang, who Im sure already came off as outdated in 1979.
