Michael G Wilson said in an interview that they always go back to the books when writing the scripts.
In Fleming's fictive world, there is always the blueprint for the Bond character, as well as inspiration for how to create a villain.
By going back to the books, they CAN make an old title work in a new story without forced storytelling.
And not only are there unused titles, but also unused plots. I haven't read much of Fleming's work, but from what I have heard, the actual plots in Quantum of Solace, A View To A Kill and The Spy Who Loved Me have never been made into films. The same goes for characters' names from several books. Gala Brand from Moonraker is one of them, but they based Miranda Frost on that character (I've heard).

We know who is doing the visuals but we dont know who is doing the song. It hasn't been confirmed that Adele is doing the song. Or did I miss something?

For some reason shh mods don't want stories posted from cbm site. And adele been strong rumors for months now. But there hasn't been any official word from mgm/sony/eon yet. And as other posters mentioned we probably won't have official word to mid july.

Also checking the forbes link cbm site mentioned was old news. Back from may when teaser was first released. So incorrect news there.

Actually I'm hoping for the naked silhouetted girls to make a return in the title, especially for the 50th anniversary. Something like Casino Royale isn't really appropriate as that was showing him achieving his 00 status. With Kleinman, I'm definitely hoping he'll incorporate the naked girls.

Two models tweeted that they filmed the title sequence last month at the end of the article.

A montage of girls and images of the Union Jack/British flag would be good, especially since Skyfall is set mostly in the UK.

Ah I miss the days of "The Spy Who loved Me" and "For your eyes only" credits.

Those credits actually showed the naked women!

Bond's line at the hotel is better then the title, along with many other things including Mathis, M, Camille, and Bond's confrontation at the end of the film. Good to mediocre movie, but bad title.

I don't know what the english speaking countries thought, but in other countries like mine where the title wasn't translated and remained in english it was liked, most found it cool actually, just like they liked Casino Royale as a title.

It's because of how unreliable CBM is. Also, they tend to steal interviews from other sites and say that they're exclusive in addition to faking others.

What Skyfall actually about? And while i don't think they will appear in the film i hope Quantum eventually returns, i actually liked the organization being a kind of replacement to SMERCH and SPECTRE
