Trailer sounds great. Must be something really intresting about Silva considering how much they are keeping his character under wraps.

The Ministry Of Defence has spent £342 million on refurbishments in recent years. They spent £1,000 each on chairs for 3,150 Whitehall civil servants.

If they could spend a grand each for chairs for civil servants they could afford some plamsa tvs.

she explains that when you've worked with Bond as long as she has you learn that "somewhere in the South China Sea" is as good intel as you're going to find.

This film must be set a while after CR and QOS for M to be referring to a long career with Bond. Interesting.

The imax trailer sounds cool I hope it makes its way online soon.

The new Q is looking good. I think there'll be some shipping going on with him and Bond though by some of the fans.

It feels more like a 4th wall moment. A wink at the length of the series more then anything else. Heck, the whole movie feels like that. They are making the M/Bond relationship feel like it has been around for decades.

i really hope they debut the trailer in theaters along with Dark Knight Rises

Trailer description is great, but the one thing I'm wondering is how was the music? The 007 theme wasn't prominent enough for me in the teaser trailer.

if you really think about it, the 007 hasn't really had a presence in the Craig films. the only time i remember only hearing it was at the very end of Casino Royale. i don't think it was played at all in Quantum of Solace.

Well we probably have it more this time with marking 50 anni of film bond.

Are you guys seriously expecting the 50th anniversary to have a real impact on the creative decisions in this movie? Maybe in the marketing, but 50 years of Bond actually has s*** to do with Skyfall. It's Craig's Bond, in continuity with only Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, so it only goes back 6 years. I don't see much 50th anniversary stuff affecting the marketing, and it certainly will have zero bearing on the movie itself.

I hope you are right. You feel that a misplaced will to reference all of the heritage and traditions of Bond was one of the major causes of DAD's failure.

Besides a couple of Bond theme cues in QoS, the theme played at the end too, followed by the track crawl end crawl.

I was just talking more we prrobably will see more bond classic stuff as mendas has mentioned like q and what not and probably have more classic bond music in film. That doesn't deter away from what ever the story is in the film.

Ah yes "crawl end crawl"
such a deliciously Bond sounding track.

Assuming the rumours are true about this being Judi Dench's swansong in the series the movie, from what we've heard, seems to be partially about the relationship between her and Bond and for long term casual viewers who aren't aware that the Craig era was a reboot of the series before (they exist) there will be a sense of some kind of emotional closure.

I think you guys may be reading into the line a bit much. She's been working with Bond for 6 years by this point, and probably since before the events of Casino Royale. That's long enough to use the expression she does. Even by the events of Quantum of Solace (which take place immediately following CR, so 2006/2007ish) she's getting a good idea of how he operates. By now I'd say she has a full understanding of his methods and trusts him implicitly.

EDIT: BTW, I apologize if my previous post seemed a little aggressive. The influx of stupid on this site in the last 4 days has got me on edge. This thread and a few others has been a pleasant diversion from all that. I'm really hoping we get some more video blogs for both this movie and the 50th anniversary in general. The costuming one really inspired me to go back and watch Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies last week. I might sit down and watch From Russia with Love Wednesday night when the wifey's out of the house.

Let me guess, is it in the Batmam board? :o

Oh yeah. And Superman. Between comic-con and TDKR's release, there are too many newbies and too many longer-term members with low post-counts coming out of the woodwork. I'm so sick of sifting through violations, dumb comments, and questions/requests that should have been [easily] done through Google. It's dying down now on the Batboards at least. Everyone seems to be just having fun playing the review game so far.

Speaking of Batman, are we getting this new trailer on Friday? I'm seeing TDKR in digital IMAX on Saturday, so I'm expecting to have a normal contingent of trailers as opposed to getting nothing in the 70mm theaters. I would love to have Skyfall up there along with Man of Steel.

The batboards have been relatively chill, surprisingly so actually.

From what we know from theater staff many 15/70 film IMAX theaters will play no trailers before TDKR due to the film print already being huge. I wouldnt count on seeing this trailer with TDKR unless you are seeing it in digital.

Compared to the Superboards, definitely. The first iota of footage set that place on fire, it seemed.

And bootleg footage, mind you.

Having seen TDKR already (still super pumped to see it again), now I'm even more excited for the Skyfall and Man of Steel trailers. The Skyfall description sounded incredible.
