The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Jamie Foxx IS Electro - Part 2

No matter what, there will always be CGI in Spider-Man movies. Especially fight scenes, or with him swinging around. However, I think the CGI in TASM was really good, if not amazing. It was such an improvement from the Raimi films. So I'm not as worried about that aspect anymore.

Its funny with SM3, because the CGI was either amazing (like Sandman for instance), or absolutely terrible (Peter and Harry fight).

It looked a bit video gamish to me,some of the scenes. Those where the scenes which were complete CGI

The scenes which were like Half real with some part being CGI were literally amazing, like the whole school fight.I was surprised to find out that Garfield actually had himself thrown through a wall.He did practically everything himself

The school fight was majority cgi; the hallway part alone was pure CGI.

I was pretty amazed by that, that everything was CGI.

Yeah it's great to see how committed he was to doing stunts

I'm sure as a life long Spider-Man fan and a commited actor he would love doing his own stunts.

I mean if I was an actor for Spider-Man, fighting a tennis ball of a stick and getting smashed into a wall would be rad

Spidey can't have the same kind of awesome "hand-to-hand" fights with Electro as with Doc Ock. Against Electro he'll mostly have to avoid all the electricity. Though all the lightning will look spectacular.

Like others have said, if he has a rubber suit then he can.

He also can hand-to-hand fight with Electro if he webs up his fists for protection. That would also make his hits harder.

When I read what Jami Foxx said about Electro:

bpx3x2q

Not gonna lie; I had the same reaction.

I am fine if Spider-Man tries to make Max his "eyes and ears" on the streets of NYC, but Max now being this pushover, even to the extent of his parents forgetting his birthday or what have you...Electro is supposed to be this sad sap of a man before he gets his abilities? That won't make Electro even remotely interesting even with the powers, imo.

Safe to assume Electro will be defeated with a large amount of water at some point?

It may stop him, but his powers tend to evolve.

Except if Electro's obsession with Spidey becomes unhealthy, he can become really dangerous and creepy pretty quickly. There is no reason why this can't come off as creepy rather then laughable. Maybe Electro's idea of helping Spidey is frying criminals with his powers and Spidey freaks out. That seems more demented then funny and still fits in with the idea of Electro seeing Spidey as his friend. If Electro sees Spidey as his friend, those two will have a falling out eventually and then Electro will really be determined to make Spidey pay.

It's all about the writing. The idea Foxx has put out, as we still don't know if it's definite, certainly has potential. If it's written well it could be fantastic.

Saw this commercial and instantly thought of Electro. I would like something like this, but with a few tweaks. What do you think? It happens at the .55 and 1.21 mark.

I like the way you fry, boy.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if he looks similar to Cole from inFamous 1.

I would. It's too close to Ultimate Electro which is basically just a funky jacket. Both inFamous or the Ultimate approach would just be underwhelming. They may have confirmed they're not using the classic colours, but I'm still hoping for an proper costume of some sort at least.

Ehh...Electro being Spider-Man's stalker doesn't get me hyped up. I am totally fine with Max being Spidey's "eyes and ears", but getting those powers and having an obsession over Spider-Man doesn't sound so interesting.

I still get the feeling that Max will run into Spider-Man prior to receiving his powers and will be Spidey's ears inside Oscorp and that he will only go crazy once he gets his powers. Seems more likely than Electro being a "sidekick" of sorts. *shudders*

In all honesty, I don't think Foxx knows what he's talking about. I doubt Webb himself knows how Electro's story will be atm.

Maybe Max insists on helping and Spidey makes him do some search behind the scenes in Oscorp and Max gets caught, stuff starts to happen, an accident happens and Max turns to Electro

He could think that maybe Spidey actually set him up and wanted to get Max out of the way. Being the dilutional guy he is, he would bitterly think that Spidey betrayed him, that his only friend was a bully like others after all

People had the same reaction when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker. Same goes for Tom Hardy as Bane. It's too soon to determine how he will be as Electro.

Also, we don't know how "interesting" his story will be. IMO he didn't say anything bad, it is all about the execution and writing. if you simplified the Joker in TDK and described him as "some guy with no certain backstory who goes around Gotham causing chaos," he sounds like a generic villain. Once again, its all about the execution!

same goes for his costume and design. Hate to compare to TDK again, but remember how fans reacted when we were told the Joker would wear clown make-up instead of falling into acid? People hated it! it just shows you that you need to wait and see.

exactly my point.
