They are filming in london because Skyfall made so much money for Sony and a large chunk of it came from the UK and this reboot is, let's face it, being made to retain the rights and make as much money as possible first, and tell a good story second. So people in europe will be like wow, spider-man in london, how cool. this will boost foreign sales. this worldwide approach may also be in response to the relatively poor US box office total for ASM1.

Now all of the above is me BSing, but I wouldn't be surprised if 5% of it were true.

I think Skyfall did well in the UK because it was home turf. Spidey won't be hitting that notion of sentiment.

Probably just another clue that Marc left to let us know Electro was next

That, to me, is the worst episode in the whole Spider-Man saga, right before the events of ASM 698#-700# (not Superior #1), the explanation about Mary Jane's death in Spider-Man: Reign and fricking magical powers from The Other.

But this one stands above the rest. Suddenly, they destroyed one of the greatest characters of the series in one page.
