I have to warm up to this new Black Electro that Jaine is playing fron the ultimate comics. He was a thug of the Kingpin, So Kingpin has to be in it. I want Kingpin in it. They need a mastermind. Because when Ultimate Ekectro was introduced he worked for the Kingpin, so I am waiting for Kingpin casting news. I thing Warburton from Rules of Engagement show should play Kingpin. Goggle Him.

I think Jaime should play Electro like a regular person. Be himself. Ultimately be a bad ass but also be a smart ass, and unpredictiable. He should be funny too. The original electro was pissed off and act a little like he was not confident in his self at times. I want this electro to be confident in his abilities like spiderman, but more bad ass about it.

And I guess Rhino going to be skinny first before he is changed or puts on the suit, but he has to keep it on, and I want the rhinos eyes to be red like in the ultimate comics, red or black eyes. I want to vaguely relise Paul G. is playing the role, I want a complete metamorphisis.

Does anyone else think it's interesting that this film is going to have two villains who in the comics have classically been characterised as losers? I don't mean that in a bad way as in saying they're lame as characters, as they're two of my favourite villains. What I mean is these are characters whose best-known stories ("Light the Night", "Flowers For Rhino") revolve around really setting them up as "blue collar" villains, almost sympathetic underdog types who can't catch a break. I've always found the humanity in these types of characters appealing, but didn't know how they'd be able to carry a film. I'm interested to see how they're handled, but I'd like to see some of that "Everyman" quality carried over in the adaptation.

This could be used to show what a horrible, unsympathetic person Peter Parker can be. I love the character, but his whole character is hypocritical to the extreme. The fact that he mocks these blue-collar villains sometimes turns them into even worse criminals - out of sheer rage at his mockery.
He doesn't try to understand them or extend any compassion towards them, he deals in moral absolutes and just sees 'bad guys'.

Remember Civil War? How Spidey shamelessly switched sides and was suddenly able to beat up his former friends and crack jokes about it? Or how about One More Day? In which he blamed IRON MAN for Aunt May getting shot? Despite Peter's treachery removing the protection Stark could have given his family.

I have the strangest feeling that by the end of this movie, we'll see why Spider-Man is such a complex character - and it's precisely because he's one of the least likable people ever to become a super-hero.

Yeah, that's not accurate. Least likeable? No. Most relateable, most human, most flawed? Yes.

All the instances of negative behaviour are from contemporary story arcs. Blame the sloppy writers.

I dunno, if I had powers of that magnitude and lived with an old woman on the poverty line, I'd use them to become rich - responsibility means taking care of ones own family. But that never occurs to Spider-Man, he just wants to be the hero, be the centre of attention, do everything for his own gratification and then monologue about how his life sucks.
As I said, he is a horrible, detestable human being. And quite often far more unlikeable than the people he batters on a regular basis.

I liked Electro's interpretation in the last USM episode... one of the few I liked.(except of the last part, when he was taken down). A combination of that and the TAS one would be great.

Would be kind of funny/cool to see Spidey and Electro battling in Time Square, and Rhino comes charging at Spider-Man, but using his Spider-Sense, Spider-Man leaps out of the way and Rhino collides with a fire hydrant, spraying water all over Electro, causing his powers to short out.

Paul Giamatti is one of those "Oh, it's that guy!" actors. People recognise him and are glad to see him but he's not a star. Jamie Foxx is more of a conventional movie star.

Jamie Foxx is a more popular actor and more well known actor, but he's not the better actor. Paul Giamatti is a better actor.

Paul can pretty much do any kind of role he is given. From Limbo (Planet of the Apes), to Marty Wolf (Big Fat Liar), to Santa Clause (Fred Clause).

Jamie Foxx can't do that, so I guess it could be argued that he isn't as good, but I think Jamie Foxx is very talented and can do his best with the roles he is given.

What's funny is that the only way Rhino is ever defeated is by Spider-man leaping out of the way of Rhino's charge so that the big guy runs into something and is electrocuted.
