Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 1

Loads of hipsters wear fedoras, trilbies, pork pie hats etc. Besides which, blending into the dull expectations of normality in drab middle class suburbia isn't exactly within The Joker's temperament. He is a character who literally does self expression to death.

I love the outfits that Anthony Misiano put together for his joker.

Along those lines would be good.

But I would brighten up the colors a touch.

Indiana Jones and Johnny Depp called...they want to kill you :o

It's not the first time. I've outsmarted them dozens of times by now, it shouldn't be a problem to do so again.

Honestly, with Joker and his unique style of dressing, I reckon it will work and people wouldn't question it, because they'll just know that's how he is and how he likes to dress.

I am well aware of this guys, that's why I said "even having in mind the fact that Joker doesn't give a **** for fashion or dressing conventionally".

It's not outside of boundaries of that character, quite the opposite actually, it's very fitting for him, but I just think it would seem a bit too silly nevertheless and there are much better ways to depict his self expression and how much he stands out from everything that is considered to be "normal". Starting with the vivid colors of his clothes and maybe giving him a tailcoat. I'd rather see his clothes seeming like they belong in the 1800's than him wearing a wide brimmed purple fedora.

I don't know.

Jack always seemed complete with the hat and Heath felt bare without it. It's because I was so used to seeing Jack with one and Heath's style was consistent with the 40's gangster look.

What I liked in B89 was, when he had his long purple coat on, he had the hat on, and it made him look gangster. But he never wore it with the tailcoat, because it obviously didn't go with the look.

And it's the same with Joker in many comics, particularly TKJ

So give him the long purple jacket and hat, creating this old gangster image. And when he takes them both off, you have his 1800's style of clothing back. Simples :p

^ I have that statue. It's pure awesomeness. I love that it came with one of the creepy midget carnival freaks.

It's awesome. But I can't stand looking at those midgets for too long :hehe:

The hat looks all kind of wrong in that fawn colour, though. I have never understood why some editions of The Killing Joke show it coloured that way.

It's an odd choice of color :hmm

That's fair enough I guess. I'm equally used to seeing him with and without hat in the comics and I prefer him without it as I find it to be a shame to cover his lawn green hair. :woot:

I can't decide what it reminds me more of - farmer's straw hat or a fishing one.

Compromise, my friend! Each way goes! :D

Heath's Joker wearing a hat sounds awful to me. Why cover up his hair if you're going with a messy grunge look? I never even thought about a hat watching TDK.

I would think that. A hat would never have worked with that hair. It was too messy.

But if they it kept that level of dirty, but sleeked back, like Joker from the comics, or even how Heath would have it on occasions,

It would've worked.

I like the sense that The Joker sees each public appearance as a performance, and dresses appropriately. The Bermuda shirt when calling to maim and violate Barbara, a smoking jacket and slippers when luring Batman into his home, purple khakis when in Iran etc. It seems certain to me that he would wear a rain coat and hat to protect his finery when out in foul weather.

Hit. Nail. Head

If Jared is ANYTHING like that, and as we know, the crazy man loves to play dress up (:hehe:), I'd be very happy. That's the Joker I want.

Ah... so if I get you right, he would be dressing accordingly with twisted sense, like he was mocking the occasion more than adjusting to it.

I like that.

What reg described, IS how the Joker often goes about life! Dressing and decorating, tailoring and crafting - all to mock the occasion and the people involved :p

And you didn't know! For shame! :o

That was a neat touch. Dressing like a tourist on holiday and taking pictures...of a naked and injured woman. That was twisted.
