What if Jared Leto isn't actually playing Jason Todd, but he's actually Lex Luthor's dad. Even though Jared is eleven years older than Jesse, it could totally work.

That's a good point, tacit, but I had a different thought. What if Jeremy Irons is playing the REAL Joker? Think about it, when he says in the BvS trailer "He's not our enemy", he's actually talking about Joker Todd. He doesn't want Batman to go after his protege since he's come to like Joker Todd since taking up the mantle of the Joker.
