So, not that picture specifically? Cause in that picture, the tattoos are hardly noticeable and, facially, there are elements that recall BTAS and Capullo Joker:

Are you the photographer or something? :funny: Actually I posted that one pic because it instantly reminded me of Cyrus. But I do think he looks awful in all his other pics, too :oldrazz:

Yeah, I mean, all the Jokers are "human" so they are gonna look similar if they have a sorta similar facial expression on them...

Just ignore him. He gets tiresome.

As do you and your constant fawning over everything ever

I also like that we're going to see The Joker in different outfits throughout the film, versus the same suit all the way through. We've already seen him shirtless, in a straight jacket, with his purple leather jacket, button down shirt with suspenders and jacket (in the flashback with Quinzel by his car), and also in a white suit jacket in the flashback with Batman attacking his ride.

He might even have one or two more looks that could evoke the more classic look by the end of the film, for all we know, but I like the variation thus far.

I don't think this is the outfit we see in the trailer either. The scene where he is walking down the hall with Frost.

Jared Leto did call Grant Morrison for advice.

And Morrison said he wonders if anything other than "slicked back hair and the Marilyn Manson vibe" made it into his performance.

He looks even better without the background:

I've always said the promotional pics arent as good as the fan made ones.

The 75th anniversary pic and this one (while good) could have been even better.

Yikes. He looks like new Miley Cyrus gone darrrrrk.

Sigh. To get such a beautiful Batman and then to get this crap...

Wow, sucks you feel that way about it. This picture especially is the most "Joker" you could say I've seen him (he's already looked Joker in other photos). He looks completely out of this world, unreadable, and disquieting.

Who's up for putting Harley Quinn next to him?

If you notice there is a teddy bear in the background pic with Harley. In the trailer when he is walking with Frost the Teddy Bear is on his outfit.

He could have the greatest Joker performance ever. That I won't doubt. But he'll always look like a Hot Topic knockoff to me.

I'm really warming up to the look. He looks fantastic to me. I think he looks more comic-accurate than Ledger's Joker did. I'm still not a huge fan of the tats or especially his teeth, but they do seem to fit his personality.
The legit green hair, plus the purple jacket are awesome Joker-y design elements. I wanna see a picture of him with a big grin on his face now, instead of a scowl.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by some of the reactions to this Joker, knowing what people said about Ledger.

Does he have his grillz on in that straight jacket? I can't tell, as I'm on my phone and it's kind of a blurry pic.

Do we have any HD pics of that shot?

Yeah it looks like he has them on.

I'm actually more surprised by some of the reactions (especially from veteran posters) because of what we all went through with Heath Ledger's Joker when the first images and set footage of him started trickling in. If you ever want to have a good chuckle, dig through the archived threads from the time leading up to TDK to see how everyone was reacting to the first images of Heath as The Joker.

The biggest concern and deviation from the canon was the fact that Heath wasn't perma-white. People questioned whether it would be a good version of The Joker without one of his most important characteristics, and many were making up potential excuses like "Maybe he really is perma-white but he wears flesh colored make-up on his neck to hide it from people". Lol

I admittedly hit the roof. :funny:

I took one look at the cover and said to myself, "Uh oh here we go." It's obvious there would be backlash to it.

I don't have a problem with The Joker's actual look. In all set photos and all the photos with The Joker in the magazine look amazing to me. I think the cover itself looks terrible though. To be honest I haven't liked a lot of the DC covers they've been putting out. For example the last one they put out with Bats, Wonder Woman, and Superman didn't look great to me. Batman looked kind of derpy to me and I think he's looked amazing literally everywhere else we've seen him. I think DC needs to step up their cover game.

Well, Ledger's Joker looks nothing like this version, so I don't know why that should be any kind of indication over your opinion on Leto's? It's quite possible to like Ledger's aesthetic, yet, hate Leto's.

I wasn't on these boards during the TDK times but I have a hard time imagining people actually detested that look. He didn't look like my version of my ideal Joker but he still looked like a Joker. Surprises me sometimes what people end up liking/hating.

I wasn't on the board, but I hated that first official picture we got of Heath's Joker. I wised up, though.
