Jared Leto IS The Joker - - Part 11

I'm kinda worried on one thing though they've definitely turned Joker into a bit of sex symbol. Quite a few ladies talking about how attractive he looks now. Hobo TDK Joker had the right mix of ugly and dirt to bring him down.
somehow Jared Leto is still shining through

Is that really something to worry about? And I mean, Harley is in the movie. It makes sense they'd want an alluring look for this Joker.

Joker a sex symbol? I'm not a lady, but I just don't see it.

Unless women are into this style these days. In that case, let me whip out my crocodile leather coat.

meh not a big deal admittedly I just don't want Joker to become DCEU's Loki who is only in movies because fangirls

Im sure this joker will have fangirls. Ledger's Joker did. Ive met some girls and guys who were hot for him. And I expect the same for Leto's joker. Some people are just attracted to insanity and this sort of flamboyant behaviour.

Truth be told, I almost wish the Joker's tattoos were more of a tribute to forces of chaos/discord throughout various mythologies and religions. To borrow a quote from another user on a different message board, I could easily see the Joker viewing himself as an avatar to these beings and calling upon them for strength. The closest thing we could get to the Joker's warped sense of religion.

"Dionysus, the satyr Pan, Eris, to Hanuman, Kitsunes, Puck, Eshu, Baphomet, Satan as morning star, Loki, Baron Ghede, etc. Hell, maybe even incorporate some Lovecraftian Old Ones.

They better have those goddamn Arkham sweatpants in stores soon. :o

He looks absolutely fantastic. They all look pretty good.

I'm curious how many people think that The Joker's actual "normal look" is a gaudy purple jacket with no shirt and blue Arkham sweatpants and bare feet.

It's clearly a magazine cover designed to show various elements of the character.

I don't think he will have a "normal" look.

Well, maybe the shirtless one.

That would be interesting but maybe there's something similar to that with his self-worshiping tattoos.

That's been my interpretation. Promoting his own brand.

Yeah I get the impression this Joker has a whole wardrobe like most people do. I dont think he will wear one particular outift for the majority of the film like past Jokers have.

I like it tho. Ledger's Joker had an obvious lack of personal hygiene so him wearing the same suit every day made sense, but Leto's Joker seems to care about his appearance, in his own crazy way, and must change his clothes day to day and for different occassions like most people do.

Oh and did yall notice that his purple jacket is crocodile skin?

I like to imagine he's studied deities of these different religions and has practiced making a deity of himself and maybe these tattoos play a part. I wouldn't know what kind of occult method he'd utilize to achieve that though. But I imagine it's an outlandish one. And maybe has something to do with Enchantress. I remember something like that has been discussed before...

It works right now. It's going to be unbelievably dated in a matter of a few years though.

Oh, those are Arkham pants.

I thought they were like tracksuit pants.

I disagree, only because I don't think there's anything about his look that is relevant now. It's intentionally tasteless and will still be tasteless in a few years.

In any case, I'm sure even the people who are vehemently against this look will get over it immediately after seeing the movie. They may never like it, but it won't seem as important.

I don't dislike it really. I just think it won't age well.

I do love how glamorous he looks. It makes sense that a young woman could become obsessed with him.

Glamorous is a good word for it. Didn't Ayer originally describe him as a "beautiful disaster" or something like tht?

honestly I wouldn't mind the jacket if it came with a dope suit like ol Morpheus
