SS makeup artists seem to be failing a lot. I noticed that Harley's "Lucky You" + dolphin tattoo often changes position. And not just that, but there was an instance where the dolphin was completely missing. That's the problem with all those fake tattoos in films... inconsistencies like this are bound to happen.

By the way, isn't the white(ish) paint supposed to cover Leto's tattoos? It would seem they forgot that this iteration is permawhite, which is odd.

I don't like the fact that his real tattoos are showing...it just seems like such an easy fix....it was the first thing I noticed.... they aren't showing in any of the scenes with his shirt off in the trailers are they?
Hopefully they will fix it in the movie...

Yeah, I know, I did say that these inconsistencies happen. And as I said, it's bound to happen with so many fake tattoos being applied every day of the filming.

Despite this and despite how often it happens, I'd argue that continuity error like this, where it's a mistake made by the makeup artist, would still be classified as failure on the part of the aforementioned to avoid these errors.

Of course, unless someone is deliberately looking for them, these inconsistencies are rarely noticeable in the film itself.
