i doubt they will get rid of his new look. the tatts could be hidden with clothes, but the grill is here to stay. particularly as will probably see him losing the teeth and getting the grill in a flashback.

I like the grills quite a bit, actually. They change Leto's appearance noticeably and occasionally make him look very Conrad Veidt-ish.

Rest should go away, though.

On the real, I didn't even notice (or at least, was bothered by) the tats in the movie. They only stand out in still photos.

Agreed.

Though this film has a bigger problem of making these "worst of the worst" villains appear as anything, but villains, and I don't think studio aiming for more family-friendly tone is the only reason, but Ayer's to blame as well.

I understood why he was such a factor in the marketing but God. I thought he was the main antagonist and yet he ended up as a side character for Harley Quinn and not in a good way, like a glorified cameo role could have been better. I didn't even like his last scene in the movie. They should have saved him in a movie where he is just not a side character, he was just a distraction to the main story IMO.

I know that would never happen but that is a magnificent idea! In fact Joker and Harley were the main draw for most so it would bring in a huge crowd and it's not like they would have to shoot much more.
