Wow. That's some bad writing going on there. Kinda glad I didn't pick that one up at the book shop.

there is some really weird sexual **** going on in that book too. I wonder how the weirdo who wrote it got the job.

As is the case with every single movie adaptation since the beginning of time:

He was cheap.

Yeah it really reads like something Harley would read in her cell :funny:

Marv Wolfman; the guy responsible for Crisis on Infinite Earths, which basically birthed the modern day versions of the every DC character we know today.

Honestly the dialogue is kinda funny. Joker starts scolding Harley and then threatens to plow both of them into a wall, but Bats interrupts, as he always does.

It's those descriptions that are reaching way too far. Lap dance? I think it's just trying to say that Harley was tossed into his lap because of a really sharp turn...

Indeed. Comic book writers don't make good prose writers.

From someone who was at a get together 30STM does, idk if it's them reading into him too much or if it's stuff he's actually said to them.

"He was very honest about the film this weekend; his disappointment in what he’s learned of the theatrical cut; feeling sort of tricked into being apart of something that had been pitched to him very differently; thinking it would’ve been more artistic than what it became, feeling overwhelmed by the hate regarding the look and choices…"

Sounds about right :/

Jared looked very happy performing this weekend, though he always does. He is a pro.

Wouldn't be surprised if he did say those things. Bummer.

At that point I think Jared will walk unless they throw money at him and kiss his a**. Even though he is not super Hollywood wealthy, he doesn't really care about studio wanting him back. His record company tried to screw him over a few years back and he fearlessly made a documentary about this. They tried to stop him from releasing it but he didn't back down. He is in there talking of a heartless, greedy, bloated corporation etc. It would be so delicious if he secretively made a doc of this fiasco too, but I suppose it's not possible since he only found out how much they screwed him during the week of release.

I imagine, if he is really talking to his fans during Camp Mars about disappointment 10 days after the release of the film, he will have plenty to say to the press very soon. And the press is coming - his new album is out next year. And he will talk even more if he doesn't return to DCEU.

At this point it's in WB interest to keep him so he doesn't trash them or release the footage that was cut because right now we can imagine it's awesome and intense, if they release it I'm sure there will still be plenty people who will say Leto sucked.

If you're going to screw somebody over, Jared Leto is the wrong person to pick. He'll say whatever he feels like needs to be said and won't care who he pisses off.

However, Ben Affleck was quoted as saying he thought Jared's take on the Joker was genius during filming. If this is really the truth, he's likely going to want Jared for the Batman solo and will find a way to make that happen.

To be fair, what was Ben going to say? "it's okay"?

If they must use Leto again, it has to be set before SS, let's have the story of him and Harley killing Robin. Maybe then Leto can create a new Joker. A Joker before the appalling SS version. Have Batman knock all his teeth out etc etc. Creating this horrendous mess that turned up in SS.

Jared's a very honest guy so i wouldnt be surprised if he said something like that, man, i feel bad for him, it feels as if the studio screwed him over. :(

After seeing his Artifact documentary this weekend, I have a feeling he may not wanna come back solely because of how studio used him. He seems to, rightfully, hate being taking advantage of. I have new respect for the guy after seeing this film. Hope the fans over at Camp Mars showed him support and that a lot of people liked his work.

At this juncture, I'd say recast. I'm getting the impression that his heart's not in it anymore. Last thing we need is him half-assing it in the future.

And last him and his fans need is that studio forcing him to do something he doesn't want to.

Really I mean what they pulled....they don't deserve this cast of people.

All this is assuming they were wrong in cutting his part, and that his deleted scenes were actually good.

Someone's going to take Leto's "**** 'em" out of context and write an article around it.

I don't really care about any of that. Besides, there's also the possibility that Leto's scenes were terrible, and the studio cut them down to minimize damage. This whole outrage over the injustice towards Leto only works under the assumption that his scenes were actually good, and I doubt the studio would have cut them if they were really THAT good.

I'm a fan of the character. I want the studio to rectify the situation. If that means moving on from Leto, so be it. There are other choices out there, and I'd trust Affleck to find the right one.

They also led him to believe the part he is promoting is much bigger than it ended up to be.

Fair enough.

But at the end of the day, they paid him, and its their material to use as they see fit. I'm more annoyed about being personally misled, not because it hurt Leto's feelings.
