A lot of people are clamoring for William Dafoe as the Joker these days.

I think he could pull off the look and the mannerisms. Would like to see this.

He already tried to play the Joker before.. In Spider-man...

No but again I think that's a terrible choice. I'd like an unknown to take on some of these roles

After TDK I was always saying "If anyone can play the Joker it's Gosling". But then he made so many movies and I became tired of him a bit. Guess he wouldn't overact so much and probably wear suits and less tattoos.

After TDK I was always saying "If anyone can play the Joker it's Gosling". But then he made so many movies and I became tired of him a bit. Guess he wouldn't overact so much and probably wear suits and less tattoos.

You do realize that Leto wearing tats etc was NOT his decision and that even if a bore like Gosling got the role in SS he would still be wearing whatever the hell Ayer told him to correct? If Ayer wanted the Joker to wear a pink dress and bunny ears then that actor is wearing that.. Period

Jared Leto gets crap over everything he does. I've even seen claims that his mountain climbing is photoshopped. I don't understand it.

Jared Leto kicked ass as the Joker. The problem is that they reduced his entire storyline and performance to tiny clips, so you can't really get a real sense of what he's all about.
The studio should've stuck to the original plans, and leave the filmmakers alone.

Exactly, Leto himself was great and did everything he could to make his performance great. The problem was Ayer's garbage characterization, asthetic, writing and WB being so hands on about everything and cutting most of his scenes.

People also keep talking about Leto having bad line delivery... Where? Aside from "Hunka Hunka" what line delivery was bad? Are we also gonna pretend that every Ledger line was delivered perfectly? As much as I dug his performance I think he could have toned down the lip smacking a lot, but that's all gravy for people.. They'd rather focus on the 0.2 seconds LetoKer playfully growled and then they b**** about that and other things. Listen I'm not saying Ledger wasn't great, because he certainly was, but let's not discredit LetoKer because you're not a fan of what Ayer has done.

Dafoe was considered for Burtons Batman.

I think its a bit too late.

Not true. Ayer hismelf said he specifically wanted only some of those tattoos plus they changed Joker's wardrobe once Leto signed. Leggings, unbuttoned shirts... that's definitely from Leto's head.

His "Harley Quinn" line in the club scene was dreadful. The definition of trying too hard imho.

No I think a lot of people sincerely do not like Leto's choices not just .2 seconds of it and they don't have to list them to make their opinion valid to them.
