And people thought Nolan's Joker was too different.

Ayer called his Joker "majestic."

What do you all think? Agree or disagree :funny:?
When he's done up in the white suit, hopefully purple as well, he has every chance of being majestic. But without his shirt on he's a tattooed yob. :hehe:

I don't care what anyone says. This is the PERFECT time to be a comic book fan.

Exactly. So much good stuff is coming out that we may not be thirsty for too long.

Back to Leto, I never really payed too much attention to what they were going to do visually because guess who's playing Joker? JARED ****ING LETO. That's A+ casting in my estimation and I can't wait to see what Ayer and Leto have in store for us. Maybe I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe I'm a fanboy. IDGAF, I can't wait. :hmr:

Zack Snyder's vague tweet leads me to believe there's more to this....

Not totally sure how to interpret his "hahaha jokes on you batman" thing.

Why are people so threatened by ANY negativity? The reaction isn't even that strong or loud. Mostly people are saying they don't like the tattoos.

But why?
This is a new interpretation.
Rather than permawhite, it's being made up by all the crazy tattoos.
This is the result of him not being bleached - he wants to be seen as this twisted form of humour with the tats.
This is a Joker, like Heath's, who has created himself.

...because I'd rather have something closer to the comics especially since we got the "created himself" thing with Nolan's Joker?

Again, why are people so threatened by barely any negativity?

I love being an unbiased and non comic reading comic book movie fan. All this news that comes out is incredible. So many awesome movies coming out across the board these next few years.

Not gonna lie: I don't care for this. Obviously, I have to see it in action, but first impression is that it feels forced. Especially the "damaged" forehead tattoo.

This teaser image definitely gives him that manic presence which I love. Put the white suit on him (or purple) and then we'll talk.

The guy is Batman's archenemy, and his name is the Joker. That's it. No hidden meaning there.

There's nothing wrong with wanting a Joker that looks closer to the comics, especially after seeing what Snyder and Wilkinson have done with the heroes.

All the same, Snyder and Wilkinson aren't working on this movie, and for better or worse I'm glad Ayer is being allowed to do his own thing and not be micromanaged right down to how he designs his characters.

I wanted a more classic-looking Joker. I certainly don't feel in the wrong for wanting that.

What's his tweet?

Anyway, I like the pic, but I hope he's whiter than he looks here. I hope he gets an Supporting Oscar nom and win for this! Sure hes gonna be fantastic.

Well, Batman's greatest enemy is called the JOKER. Not sure how that needs to be interpreted closely haha.

Then again, he DID put #cryptic so....

Was Ayer describing Joker's appearance or his characteristics?

I wouldn't say this particular pic is "majestic," even though I like it a lot.

Man this is totally unexpected I don't know how i feel about this Joker I really wanted Dark Knight Returns Batman look

Same.

Nolan's Joker strayed much further from the comics (aside from the Azzarello GN) than this IMO.

Maybe its the point but those first two Jokers just look so silly to me. They may be more accurate to the comic look, but I prefer the two newer ones.

i freaking love it. But I cannot un-see Marilyn Manson though.

Just noticed the "SMILE" tattoo on his rib cage.

I guess that makes us whiny babies? I guess?

Don't see how but okay.

So why'd you call it vague?
