Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 3

This just shows that the DCCU lacks a Feige imo.

Feige, who signed off on Mandarin being a depressed nerd who didn't get to talk to Tony Stark one time, and then who ridiculously hired an actor to disguise his real identity? That Feige?

Maybe DC / WB DOES have a plan and this is part of it. Not that mindblowing a concept...

This attitude is insulting to posters who don't share your views. Sorry, I didn't realize something had to fit your perfect look to be a "real" interpretation. Have fun not watching movies featuring characters you love, hope the view is nice on that high horse.
I don't own a horse. But I'll be good. I'll stay at home and watch my TFA blu ray. :cwink:

Okay so if it's quite clear that he's crazy from the clown stuff why bother with the "damaged" forehead tattoo?

But don't you understand? He was forced in prison to have those tattoos, and that is what drove him insane.

It all makes perfect sense.

I think those tatts were photoshopped for the Anniversary. The tattoo on his stomach looks shopped along with "damaged" on his head

I was thinking this too, but only about his stomach tattoo, it looks shopped. The rest look "right".

I'm not sure it lacks a Feige, everyone else who's involved right now may just be okay with it. I doubt they just would allow him to do it if they didn't like it. Not really my thing though, it's...eh. Not what I was hoping they'd go with and I feel that the tattoos are overdone (especially the damaged one) but I'm just hoping I'll adjust to it with time.

For me its just the whole way they are approaching the DCU its like, Green Lantern bombed so we have to stick to the "time tested" success of TDK trilogy and keep everything dark, gritty, and realistic. I think thats the reason Im not super excited about BvS, it just looks like everything else theyve done.

Don't let Darth get to you, I put him on ignore awhile ago, he's a complete jack*** to people whenever he dislikes something.

I think it misses the point that this is suppose to be connected universe. I get letting the directors do their own thing, but there should be a limit. This Joker is suppose to show up with Snyder's Batman, or they redesign him again. This just shows that the DCCU lacks a Feige imo. And I don't know how this is going to work with Feige. I say this as someone still annoyed about Ant-Man.
I think you are way overreacting and that's something coming from me. :funny:

Right now I'm not super crazy about the look but I could see Batfleck going up against this Joker.

Feige, the keeper of five massive franchises. And maybe it is DC and WB's plan. Which would be part of the problem imo.

Rolling my eyes at someone isn't being hostile. :whatever:

No but your needlessly sarcastic tone is.

Why don't YOU get over the fact that some people just don't really care for the forehead tattoo, since you said that yourself as well?

But don't you understand? He was forced in prison to have those tattoos, and that is what drove him insane.

That is so modern and edgy and take.

Honestly... I'm surprised with David Ayer directing that he didn't go full new 52 Joker.

Nolan had a fresh take, and still kept the Joker. Enjoy it if you want. I'll get off the train here. Especially considering I haven't been feeling this for a while.

Admittedly I haven't followed this film closely but from what I have seen it looks to be a cool movie concept. I'm not sure how comic accurate the whole thing will be but thats always an afterthought for me with these.

Imo Nolans take on Joker was great because it looked the part and the role was acted so well. I see the same here, it certainly looks like The Joker to me so all i can do is wait to see the performance to fully judge. Put accurate clothes on Leto and his look is certainly the least worrying thing for me at this point.

I could see Batfleck beating up Boyd Crowder. Doesn't mean he fits. :funny:

And this is just how I feel. They already cast Jai Courtney for Zodsake. I don't have a lot of trust.

Yes, the Fiege who signed off on the best interpretation of The Mandarin ever done, exactly.

There, you have a group of creators boiling a character down to the bare essence of what makes him work and what makes him interesting, and reworking all of the aspects of the character that don't work (the corniness, the stereotyping, etc.) and reworking them into a strength that enhances the character (turning it into somewhat self-critical social satire).

As opposed to aping Marilyn Manson's style for The Joker, which is kind of lazy, and including a crappy forehead tattoo that says "damaged," which is just laaaaaame.

They just wanna give kids nightmares for a few weeks, not scar them for life. :o

And people thought Nolan's Joker was too different.
I hated Ledger's first look. Damn near threw a tantrum online.

While there's a couple elements here I'm not fond of, this is more Joker to me than Nolan's first impression.

I like the laughing tats but man that's going to take some getting used to.
This thread is moving too fast for me to catch up, but did anyone notice how conveniently placed those two tatooed grins are? I'm betting a shot like this is going to be a prominent piece in the movie or marketing:

It looks pretty damn badass and a clever way of integrating the ridiculously large cheshire grin.

Wow that looks fantastic. Probably the scariest looking Joker to date. Can't wait.

I don't know what you are talking about. I have no problem with people not liking the forehead tattoo. I just thought your argument about it over-telegraphing that Joker is crazy was a silly argument.

Sorry I offended you. This is clearly an upsetting moment for you. I apologize.

You guys realize that if Leto-Joker puts on a purple suit, it'll cover those tattoos and he'll look "classic" right? He won't be walking around shirtless all the time.

It won't cover up the grills he has in his teeth, sadly.

Well, we don't know exactly what kind of Batman we're getting or what the whole DCCU will look like. Clearly, Snyder is cool with this Joker interacting with the Batman he's using.

A bunch of tattoos and teeth like that looks like the Joker too you? Ok. Not with me.
