I really love the idea that he may be having fun AND going overboard with the whole "tough prisoner" persona. And I hope the knocked out teeth imply what we think it implies.

:o

I like the teeth. If this Joker exists in the same universe as THIS Batman:

It would make sense why his teeth would be as ****ed as they are.

I'm trying to imagine Leto's Joker having a dialogue with Viola's Waller...

Wow I never noticed how jacked this Batman is. He looks like a force to be reckoned with. Although im sure that suit is padded or armored to make him a littlw bigger. But I wouldn't want him to meet me in a dark alley lmao.

Yeah, so what is the next movie after Suicide Squad? Wonder Woman? Yeah, I'll probably be waiting for that. The teeth, the tattoos, the general look. This just isn't the Joker. Not at all.

You're totally dismissing this after one picture?? You're more level headed than that Darth. You don't think it's a good adaptation in any part? I think I lot of things are done well here to give a fresh take while keeping the overall characteristics of the joker. He looks crazy.

The "damaged" tattoo just reads so much as hand-holding.

"See guys! He's craaaAAAAAaaaazyyy! He's got damaged written on his forehead! Haha get it!"

Just so dumb.

Maybe this is a fake-out and they're saving the real reveal for Joker's anniversary.

Right, because the fact that he dresses as a clown and laughs hysterically while killing people was real subtle before this came along. :whatever:

Like Heath, he looks effectively updated yet still very Joker-is!! He looks great!

That Batman became his own personal dentist? :p

I think this is a very fair post.
I think it misses the point that this is suppose to be connected universe. I get letting the directors do their own thing, but there should be a limit. This Joker is suppose to show up with Snyder's Batman, or they redesign him again. This just shows that the DCCU lacks a Feige imo. And I don't know how this is going to work with Feige. I say this as someone still annoyed about Ant-Man.

The teeth make complete sense...It's the Joker, who is usually either imprisoned or murdering people. Dental hygiene doesn't seem like his thing. Indifferent about the tattoos, but nobody can deny this evokes almost everything that one should associate the Joker.

He'll such in this? That's too bad. I always hate when a guy like him suches on screen.

Well didn't you hear Sawyer? Next year they're adding a new category to the Oscars. Best suching by an actor or actress in a supporting role. Leto is a sure fire pick to win for his incredible suches.

Snyder's an executive producer on SS. I doubt he didn't sign off on this look.

Yeah, they've would've rotted by now...Considering how yellow they are in the comics :o

Okay so if it's quite clear that he's crazy from the clown stuff why bother with the "damaged" forehead tattoo?

It's just dumb. And you're being awfully hostile over a dumb tattoo and people's mild opinions of it.

Nolan had a fresh take, and still kept the Joker. Enjoy it if you want. I'll get off the train here. Especially considering I haven't been feeling this for a while.

I'm not sure it lacks a Feige, everyone else who's involved right now may just be okay with it. I doubt they just would allow him to do it if they didn't like it. Not really my thing though, it's...eh. Not what I was hoping they'd go with and I feel that the tattoos are overdone (especially the damaged one) but I'm just hoping I'll adjust to it with time.
