All historically "Joker things"...Good Lord, CBM fans are really the worst.

If there were ever a personification of "reactionary" it's the average CBM "fan".

You got that right! Or they are just trolls which most are!

Boom, champion of the dapper looking classic Joker look for this movie, I am surprised you're taking this so calmly. This looks like a punk rocker from a Joker themed band.
The tattoos I can overlook. He's not going to spend the entire film shirtless. And while I agree with others that the "Damaged" tattoo is... undesirable, I honestly don't notice it at a glance. My focus is put directly on his eyes and mouth. But as I said before, that forehead tattoo might become more of a distraction when he's fully clothed and it's the only tat visible.

The more I look at the teeth, the less I like them. I can understand the potential reasoning behind false teeth, and they're slightly enlarged which will make his grin especially toothy. But I'm not on board with the metal as of right now.

Otherwise, he has green hair and red lips, and while it's not snowy white, his skin tone looks unnatural enough that it works for me. So the classic elements that are present look fine.

Maybe I've just been a part of this for too long, because I just didn't have a strong reaction either way. Reading all of these comments, I frankly just feel too burned out. There are enough classic elements present that I recognize him as The Joker, but there are enough new elements there that are throwing me off.

Not really liking how people are shrugging off and belittling those who have criticisms of the design. This is an incredibly uninspired, hokey-look for the Joker. It's too forced. It's kind of cringe-worthy. At least this ONE picture is. I'm sure that the final character will be better, but as for now I'm not loving prison-rock-star-hot-topic-employee-Joker.

It's going both ways, those of us who like it a lot are being teased as well as having other poke fun at us and shrugging us off too etc. It goes both ways, if you don't like it don't partake in it just try to avoid it haha.

The "damaged" tattoo is a bad sign.

It shows they don't really get it.

It's something a sexually abused biker chick would put on her forehead for attention.

I really don't see what's wrong with wanting a classic Joker. For the first time, we have a classic looking Batman. Is it really so wrong that we should want the same of the Joker?

Yeah, I actually find it funny. People going, "I don't understand why a grill and face tats is a huge deal? Remember the first Ledger pic? You guys are too picky, this is how we all envisioned this masterpiece. Fanboys and stuff"

"Introduce a little anarchy." - Joker, The Dark Knight

He used the word in the colloquial sense as a synonym for chaos, but anarchy is a political ideology and The Joker's words and actions do nothing to reflect it and thus qualify him as an anarchist.

He does have his signature smile... Inked on his forearm. The actual one got taken care of courtesy of BatFlecks hammers of Justice.
:funny: I love that.
And I guess the tear drop J tattoo is when he killed his homey in jail?

It all makes sense, mannnn.
What if Harley makes the tatoos faces. Mr. J and damaged.. :hmm
It's a nice compromise from the all-white look. He's not paper-white so the skin still looks "natural", but there's not enough color there for it to look normal either.

It's funny that the tats have just completely taken over the look. I'm not even paying attention to his skin anymore. That's quite the feat for this character.
This.

Guys, remember this picture which we saw earlier?

Do you see a hint of black writing or anything on his forehead?

Good point. but it's too blurry to tell. The good thing in that is the suit :D
Pretty damn perfect, if you want a white-point reference. Now we know exactly what shade his skin is.
Agree.
I agree.

The thing about this non-permawhite joker (with Leto and Ledger) is it's almost scarier that they go OUT OF THEIR way to put on make-up.

I certainly think this Joker will be putting on make-up and will cover some of his face tattoos.

But, PLOT TWIST, he's doing it because he's undergoing rehab. So we might see the joker's face covered at the beginning.
He's perma-white but grounded.

Well, if Joker looks in the mirror it spells DEGAMAD and anyone looking at him is the damaged one!!!
This. This is what I want to see. Analysis not repetive complains.

New PERMAWHITE toothpaste! From Colgate!
:lmao:
Really? Its right there under his arm. Hard to miss.
:cmad: I said only!! I'm talking about his tatoo on his bicep. :argh: Is it that hard to see it :argh: :o

Oh my god! This is not the perfect Joker I was envisioning! This movie is going to suck!

The look is very jarring at first but he's never looked more psychotic than he does in that picture.

What if the tear drop tat is from killing Robin!

No one is saying we expected or envisioned this. But many of us like it.

I'm just as cool with it as I am with Superman not having red briefs or whatever.

And so on and so on.

Yep.

It's just sad...

They have the perfect hair, then they shaved eyebrows and did the BTAS panda eyes, then finally gave us the perma-white skin, and topped it off with beautiful and natural mouth accented with red lipstick with zero prosthetics.

I'll let the teeth slide since they're 'adding to the story' (I hope).

But, then they decided to tweak and add to their masterpiece with idiotic tattoos... ruining all of the above hard work. It's like a guy who won't put down the brush or someone who ended up putting pinstripe on a sexy sports car.

They just went too far.

I like the idea that he might be do pale because he's been incarcerated for so long.

:cmad: I said only!! I'm talking about his tatoo on his bicep. :argh: Is it that hard to see it :argh: :o

Yeah, I see what appears to be a bird wing, but honestly its too hard to tell what it is at this angle. You might be right, you might be wrong. Don't know what else to say.
